Sorry to tell you, but if the reservoir is filling up it's probably a BHG. A couple years ago I popped the hood after driving, reservoir was overflowing. Temp was normal, running normal. BHG.

So ..... To everyone that said "BHG BHG" Suck some tits.... its was a stuck Thermostat afterall....... so Bomb...... 7M Love Mot*er F**kers Still Whoopin ass today!!!

Generally it's nice of you to thank us so kindly for our input. Either your being sarcastic or you don't have a drivers license yet (don't think they hand them out to 12 year olds).

Read through the posts again and don't think anyone said it was a definite BHG. Just most likely given the symptoms you described. Most said "test"...

I have a 7m, and am happy. Luckily your 7m still seems solid. Hope everything goes good for you now!

Yeah, like Grandhavi said, you were describing classic bhg symptoms, and saying you didnt think it was bhg BECAUSE of those symptoms. Everyone simply said "it sounds like bhg". Meanwhile, all you had to do was go down to Autozone or wherever, and borrow(not buy) a block tester. But you didn't, and i gaurantee that all you did was drive around on it for the past month, refilling it, and finally squeezed off a shot in the dark, and replaced the tstat.

Dont get me wrong- im glad you dont have a bhg, and im very, very happy to "suck some tit"(VERY).... But why did you post a help thread if you didn't want to follow advice?

I always get thrown back by today's youthful form of communication. Just giving the OP the benefit of the doubt that he was doing what we used to accomplish with a "Yeehaw!"

rofl... today's communications kill me.

on a related note...... i found my car smoking a bit and using some coolant. since it already has a rod noise i figured i would just drive it until it goes. well last sunday it started smoking all the time and the coolant was pretty low. after doing some research online, i decided to try a quick fix. i flushed out all the coolant and added a quart of "kw" sealer with water. i've been driving it like this all week without any issues. hell i even get into boost, and i'm not using any coolant.
before you start flaming me, i already have an engine lined up. i just wanted to give this a try, and i'm honestly impressed. in no way is this a permanent fix. i just wanted to post the results of my little experiment. :)

On a serious note thank all of you that offered relivant advice. I did drive it around for about a month..... and I didnt need to refill the reservoir everywhere I went. My town is so small that I walk to work.... So the car wont even get to operating temp going to the gas station.... And yes I meant to say BOMB

You don't warm up your car before driving it?

Your very first post was relevant advice. Why didn't you follow the advice given? It was free and quick to do. Why did you drag on this thread giving us symptoms of BHG and expect us not to think that is what it was? To this day have you performed the block test to make sure you don't have exhaust gasses in your coolant? I bet not.

Telling us to go suck a tit... I'm sure we'll remember this the next time you reach out for help/advice the when you have a problem. That and not following simple advice when asked for it. It's frustrating when several members give you valid advice only for those in need to ignore it.

what your saying makes no sense if your thermostat is stuck closed your car will over heat. you stated your car never ran hot. if it was stuck open it would take a long time for your car to heat up to temp this will not cause your loss of coolant. sounds like a bhg the easiest thing to do is block test it like everyone else told you to do.

honestly you should take the advice that's given instead of posting a question and not listening to anyone
that defeats the point of posting the thread
check the block..even though it's "running too good for a bhg to be considered" doesn't mean the hg isn't going
they can start going before you even have noticeable issues that affect the performance
it's not the thermostat..the thermostats purpose is to prevent coolant from going to the block while warmin up and at a certain temp usually 180-190° for our car the thermo opens and lets coolant through to keep it at operating temperature
once you have checked things from the advice given then come back and ask questions we can't help you if you don't take our advice
