yeah I never understood why people put the money into a turbo timer when coming from the factor the car doesn't have one so why would you need one otherwise? now if you're running a massive turbo I could ok understand that but people even with a 57 trim get one seems pointless to me

Here is what my owner manual says (yes I read it) :

City driving: can stop immediately
50mph driving: stop after 20 seconds
63mph driving: stop after 1 minute
High load or > 63 mph driving: stop after 2 minutes.

In fact, when coming to home or work, I have at least 5 minutes city driving and need about 30 sec to park in the underground parking lot and oil is better than 20 years ago, then no, even in 1992 a turbo timer was unneeded for me.
BTW I have some regrets when I stop to a gas station after highway long trip and can't idle few minutes.

yes that's what the owner manual says which if fallowing those directions you'll be fine but it doesn't say to buy a turbo timer so your car still runs with the key out lol oil is so much better than it used to be if cars really needed one they would come like that from the factory like a BOV for example
people can say they're pointless all they want and that they are good for sound but when recirculated they actually do serve a purpose hence they come from the factory that way
