Somehow this reminds me of that news story from aussieland where a gallardo couldn't out run a suzuki shitbox, and the suzuki was able to getaway from the cops.

Haha, yeah Sherrif's FTL..

I live in a small town and the cops AND sheriffs (within 2 mile, you'll literally go through 3 cities...one of the bigger ones has police, the other two have sherrifs) CHOOSE when they want to enforce the law. To give you an idea of how small my town is, I've had the same sheriff pull me over 3 times... (no ticket yet though, WOO!)

But anyways, back to the thread topic. I wouldn't be concerned with payback. She'll get hers on her own one day cause she seems to be a little crazy. She'll pull that shit on the wrong person and BAM! she'll get shot or something, haha. Anyways, good luck with it all.

that really sucks, but I wouldn't push it. You're gonna turn yourself from an unlucky person to a criminal. Is it worth some jail time?

But if I were gonna vandalize, I'd get a nail, and a hammer and just put 1 nail in her rear tire, all the way in, it shouldn't leak for a while, but they can't prove anything ;)

haha, usa
Since you know where she lives, send her a letter through the mail (actually send it, don't just stick it in her mailbox because that's illegal).

In the letter, there should be two things; a signed damage report from a credited auto body shop and a letter from your parents telling her how to pay for the damages.

See what happens with that...

you guys don't think legal action is the correct path to take? i mean, i was there, my friend was riding passenger in my car, witnessed the whole thing. i got her license plate, called the cops immediately after it happened.

I absolutely think legal action is the way to go. Its really the only logical option in a civilized society, and should be the only course of action (beyond letting the whole thing go) even considered. I wouldnt worry about the reasons why she did what she did...they arent legal justification for using your vehicle as a battering ram. I would like to see her arrested for ADW, but barring that I think civil action is warrented. It's not the cops job to do anything more at this point. Its up to you to get copies of the police report, then file a civil action against her in small claims court. If you prepare your case well, and document the incident well, I think you have a good case against her. If you decide to go this route let me know, I have a fair amount of experience with legal matters.
