PTE 550's, the new Venoms?

A bad PTE injector is a bad PTE injector, irregardless of where it came from.

yep, like i said. the 550cc from pte on ebay ARE NOT flow tested and matched. i can get them, but do not sell them. id rather offer the more expensive, more realiable, tested, matched, and proven injectors from pte (580cc).

you can always get them and have them tested before you install. if they come back defunct, i seriously doubt the seller will do anything about it. just the chance you take.

I just bought injectors from manic tech racing. I am curious if i got real pte injectors or cheap knock offs. Nothing against manic tech racing, they did not advertise these as pte injectors. I planned to swap the injectors later if needed.
The injectors r scribed, i have no idea how to interprit the #'s tho. They kind of worry me because the numbers to have large variations.
The numbers on two of my injectors are, 116 59/1 4137 and 244 59/0 4137

the injectors also have a seimens logo on them, and a edge products logo.
I can post pics if needed, although i doubt they will be required.

if they are the siemens injectors (pte does sell, just not the ones i sell from pte) they have not been flow tested and matched unless manic did it before selling.

the scribe numbers are different from what i am used to, so not sure what they mean.

Well i am glad to hear they are not just a cheap knock off. I will get them flow tested forsure now before installing them. I have not done much research on fuel injectors, how would you rate siemens injectors?

not a lot of experience w/ the siemens. are these the square clip or oval clip injectors?

Guess what.....I got the head off today and found a melted #1 cylinder......and i have suprasport pte injectors with no flow sheet drop shipped from another performance shop in Rhode Island. I'm going to ohm them out then send them off for flow matching before i put my backup motor in there.......I'm fumed....

edit- upon removing them from the rail...3 injectors came apart where the upper ring is fitted to the injector....where the rail o-ring goes....I am POSITIVE this is a bad indication..unless someone knows better than I about it.
