To get your injectors simply TESTED

Guys, email tim@cleaninjectors.com and let him know you're with the supra community and want your set flow tested only. He is offering this service to us for a near-flat fee of $25. ...those of you outside the US will be more. My turn around time was one week, including shipping time!

He knows what we're looking for and isn't afraid to give an honest opinion (see my first post) and I'll trust him with my stuff from here on out.

...now, lets continue with our discussion of these pte's.

If this is true...then this should be stickied right away!

If it's typed next to my username, it's true. Shoot him an E, but please don't waste his time. He's a one-man shop and doesn't have days and days to chat about injectors. I asked him if he'd like me to put his name out to the community (even though he's only charging half what others are), and he said he would appreciate the chance to help us out.

I can make a new thread with all the "testing injectors" info if you'd like.

my point has merely been are you buying REAL PTE injectors or someone that is simply labeling junk as PTE injectors? ebay is FULL of crap....just go search for a turbo. T66? i think not.

PTE's site: http://www.precisionturbo.net/index.php

what REAL PTE inj. look like:

dave h and i have been a dealer for precision for several years now. we have sold countless sets of 580, 680, 1000cc injectors. we have never had a bad injector. coming straight from precision they are flow tested and matched.

sure you can always get one bad one, im not saying that. just saying we have never experienced a failed injector and like i said coming straight from precision they are pre tested. i cannot speak for all of them out there, just the ones we sell. like was said, no telling what you get from ebay.

be also advised, they come in different types. some are low imp, some are hi imp. some are pintle, some are ball and seat. it depends on what size they are.

lastly, as is the fuel end is too big for the rail. we have them machined to fit the rail.

The point is.. You won't find anyone complaining about bad PTE injectors that bought them directly from Precision Turbo. Why? Because they won't be bad. If they are? Spend the $8 to mail it back and they'll send you a new one for no charge.

My turbo has a bad thrust bearing from precision... and you know what they said on the phone? Just pay for the shipping back to us, and we'll take care of the rest.

Case closed.

Reasons like this is why the aftermarket does not want to support the MKIII crowd (including the 1jz-gte engine, because 90% are in MKIII). All you guys do is complain how bad products are. The truth is, most guys are just too cheap to buy the REAL product from the vendor, cheap out to ebay, and the vendor who WANTED to help, backs out due to complaints of how expensive his product is compared to ebay shit.

To call PTE injectors bad, is just throwing stones in a glass house. Those are not bad PTE injectors, they are bad Ebay injectors. Precision did not sell them to you, and they do not carry the precision warranty, therefore they are not PTE injectors.

That's a 7m pte injector?

yes it is
Precision scribes alot of information on the injectors themselves too. I run 880cc injectors on my car pushing alcohol of all things. Not one issue since I bought them and I bought them from a shop that no longer is around (darkracing.org or something like that). They just drop ship from PTE. That how Suprasport started selling PTE (back when Jeff was the owner) as I told them about the PTE injectors when everyone was on the RC/Lucas bandwagon.

yups. that's a delphi or siemens injector. the 680 i posted is a delphi (IIRC?)....

as already stated, if it really is from PTE, they scribe in the flow rate and date ON the injector (see my above posted pic).

That is 100% the truth. PTE injectors from Precision Turbo never put stickers on their products.

Precision Turbo scribes all their products. Injectors, Turbos, Intercoolers, everything.

PTE on ebay has nothing to do with the Precision injectors DrJ and others keep saying are good injectors. That is part of the problem, people keep saying how good PTE is, but it's a totally different injector we're talking about on ebay.

Well, thats the problem then. People are buying "PTE" injectors thinking they are getting Precision Turbo and Engine injectors that the world swears by. Instead they are getting ebay "PTE" injectors and blowing their motors up, bad mouthing Precision turbo saying their product sucks.

See, this is where you ebay people can argue about this all day.

YES, they are the same KIND of injector Precision Turbo sells. There isnt 1000 injector factorys in the world to make these. They might be the same kind of injector Precision Turbo sells, heck, even from the same factory.

The difference is.. The ones precision turbo sells DIRECTLY are 100% tested and warrantied to be exactly what they say they are.

The ebay ones are not.

Same goes for turbo manifolds, you think every manufactor has their own factory? LOL. Chinaman makes 90% of the turbo manifolds sold in the world under ALOT of big names (boost logic, sound performance for 2). Yes, they might made from the guy who makes cheap ebay manifolds, but the Quality you get from BL or SP is 1000X better then the ebay product.

You get what you pay for. Don't go posting on forums that you blew your engine up with ebay fuel injectors and expect people to feel bad for you.

we will find out.

PTE ALWAYS 100% of the time enscribes the injectors. ALWAYS. If they do not have it then they are Delphi and NOT PTE.

what is the diff?

PTE buys delphi injectors then does thier testing and scribes them. Delphi on the other hand does not flow test or any of that. They just sell em and being mass producers, like any other statistics, they are bound to have crappy injectors out in the wild.

So

scribe = PTE
no Scribe = Delphi.

PTE = Precision Turbo & Engine

well not all PTE on ebay.

this are all legit (at least if the pictures is CORRECT!)

http://stores.ebay.com/Import-Blowout-Sales_PRECISION-T-E_W0QQfsubZ6

even the ones with the PTE stickers. they are delphi which are the correct ones.

ummmmmmmm....same link i posted. same sketchy seller.....

i think the moral of this story is that if you want a quality product, get it from the mfg....
