Childersburg AL,
decided not to rebuild my ct26 so i picked this up

when i bought the turbo it never crossed my mind that it would need new oil lines so that set me back a little time wise.
ended up ordering the flanges an lines and fittings from Driftmotion should be here sometime next week. I have to say those little pieces add up quick. $150 bucks but what can you do had to have it.

finally I got all the oil out of the intercooler and piping. used some header wrap I had laying around and put it all back together minus the Turbo.

hopefully the next update will be about how I drove it down the road for the first time in forever blah blah blah. guess well see...

good plan, you'll make more horsepower top-end that way, I kept my rebuilt/upgraded ct-12as and now my cams are useless, unless maybe I get a shot of nitrous for 6-8k rpm lol

Childersburg AL,
quick update, got some stuff in from driftmotion so I can make my oil lines. hopefully I can find time to get started on it this weekend, if not maybe Monday.

p1930910_1.jpg

-4 feed, -10 drain hose with AN fittings and Arizona Performance flanges and the block adaptor for the feed line. needed a new CPS plug while I was at it.

p1930910_2.jpg

I mocked the drain flange to the turbo and ran into this little problem.hopefully I can just clock the center cartridge and make it work.

Childersburg AL,
clocked my center cartridge to fix my clearance issues. cant believe I didn't think about that to begin with.

p1947202_1.jpg

had to mock the turbo several times in order to get the drain hose the correct length

p1947202_3.jpg

p1947202_4.jpg

put it all back together and heat wrapped the intercooler piping.

I've driven the car twice now but she hits fuel cut with the quickness. I think before I take it out again im going to go ahead and buy 550's and make a trip to the dyno for a tune. after converting to cop and doing the 12v fuel pump mod the car starts a lot easier even runs smoother.
I cant wait to hit the rolling road and see what kind of numbers I can put down.

Badass chivelle!

I can't say I understand heat wrapping the intercooler pipes.
Maybe the cold side (especially with the 7m's ic pipe going over the turbo) but is wrapping the hot side beneficial? Wouldn't that hold heat in? Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way.

Childersburg AL,
It keeps the heat out more than in, my setup gets heat soaked in a heartbeat, plus I had a lot of it Layin around so no harm no foul. I figure every little bit helps.
I bought the Chevelle to have as a project for me and my son, good thing he's only 5 months old lol. Maybe I can have the supra done in the next year or so and concentrate on it.

Childersburg AL,
well guys Ive had my fill of 7M problems, car ran good for a little while but I blew my last headgasket.
started pulling the engine, parted out almost every 7M specific part on the car and Im going 1JZ.
I was a little sad at first but the more I think about it im sure that motor hated me with everything It had.
wish I had the money to go big single right out of the gate but more than likely that money will be spent else where.
Damn it Im going to dailey drive this car weather it likes it or not.

This made me laugh, it's nice to see another Alabama owner. Hopefully everything goes well with your 1J project.

Man I was just reading through your build thread and was hoping by the time I reach the last page there would be some pictures or video of it running. :(

It's amazing the progression over the years though. I commend you for your dedication. It's sad to see it not submitting to your authorita!

Childersburg AL,
Honestly when it ran taking pics or videos never crossed my mind. my first Supra did exactly what I told it to when I told it to. this one seems to have an attitude problem.
The new engine will be ordered next week and I don't plan on dragging the swap out.
