That looks badass Dan, now to add his water neck cnc part to it and perfect! Of course, polish it, too.

For the OP, the parts are hard to sell because many don't want to pay what it is worth, and, CNC parts are not cheap to make.
Well they are but it needs volume production to get to the "cheap" point, industry tends to amortise infrastructure long after it's paid for itself so the cost doesn't change for the life of the machines.

Ok, well, if you look at it that way (which I should have) it can be cheaper. :)

As with everything Garbage in = Garbage out, it all depends on the skill of the designer/programmer but once the code is done you could train a monkey to run the machine and it would spit of perfect parts all day long with minimal human intervention ;)

lol Well, lets see the price for the OP, I guess. Maybe he can sell these?

Sorry if its already stated but would the CNC part have the option of having no threads tapped in it? That would be a big incentive for me to go CNC, though I do like the look of the anodized grub screws

That could be added since it is not made yet, or, you could it yourself later if need be.

For those of us that dont run any sensors in there having one with no holes would look really clean. THough not sure how many people use those ports on the thermostat housing.

Being a cnc programmer makes it a lot easier though. Plus if things work out in the next couple of months, I'll be buying a cnc soon. This will make it so I can keep prices lower than mother others could.
and yeah, most people don't understand what it takes to make cnc parts.

yessir! That's part of my business plan. I'm working on a contract to modify 10,000 mismolded flashlights for the FBI. I'm most likely going to build a fixture that's idiot safe. (nothing is truely idiot proof in a machine shop) Then hire a monkey to run it while I'm at my other job during the day.

I was shooting for 100-120$
and I would of course be selling these on my 1uz store.

Yeah I can just omit the holes. But one of the things that I did in my design is I moved all the sensors to the bottom of the housing out of sight. So if you just plugged the holes there would be nothing to see.

Dan, you can't just make one with the sensors missing if mostly everyone needs them, get what I am saying? You could always plug it though as I said.

I hear what you are saying but I thought perhaps if those were a later and separate step in the process they could possibly be omitted

I'm not too up to speed with the logistics of a CNC machine

Well, doing it this way will allow him to make a bunch to sell, and, this way you get one too. :)

OK I think I understand now

I had become rather attached to the OEM one that did all the file work on but a CNC one is a very tasty proposition

lol Well, it does look good the way you have it but the CNC piece would be a nice touch.

^ Since I made one as well, (although it is a different design and water neck) it has to be a certain thickness to accommodate the stat. It could be simple for you, just don't buy one. ;)
