I sanded down and primered and painted the cam gear cover to fix the flaws. I also paint the 2 bolts that hold it on along with the top bolt that holds down the passenger side light cover. I finally took a dremel to my DS headlight mounting bracket to enlarge the holes so I could better position the headlight. And I discovered in my trimming of the air intake pipe that I do in fact need the Driftmotion pipe again, although shortened and without the 3 nipples since it has the perfect bend that I need.

Amazing job, The blue looks so good on that car. Of course, it helps that the car is clean and straight to make the paint look even better. Thanks for detailing the build so well, it's cool to see it progress.

how well you think that paint would work on body parts? it doesnt look like its got a very shiney clear coat.. i ask cause i was thinking of doing the same for my supras bumper when i finish that, and also the camaro to fix some of the spots that are scratched, just curious if it would be a night and day difference or if it would be like my rear quarter panel on the supra where you have to stand right next to it to even notice it

I got a copper 90 degree elbow, a short straight piece of copper pipe, a K&N breather filter, and a 20 degree 4" pipe today and yesterday. I put it all together and did some fine tuning. I'm thinking I may still have to buy the Driftmotion air intake pipe but have it custom ordered since it's too long and has nipples on it that I don't need. I also had to put on a clamp onto the short hose that connects to my valve cover since it was too loose. I'll take off the ISCV breather filter tomorrow and paint the elbow black so it looks better.

So I did some painting tonight. I painted the front strut tower ring supports to match the body and painted the copper elbow for my ISCV breather filter black. No pics today, I'll post them up tomorrow after the paint has dried and I put the parts back on.

So yeah, I put the ISCV breather filter back on. No pic since ya'll have already seen it in raw copper and know what gloss black looks like. I also ordered my ATI Super Damper crank pulley (no fooling this time, I ran the numbers and bit the bullet). Summit Racing has it for $353 shipped. Once I complete a bunch of homework in the next couple days I'll start putting my interior back together.
