I just got off the phone with Eric (while typing this, lol) - once the order is put in to them, the GB is cut off. If anyone is thinking of getting multiple sets, they will not be able to, after production starts! So get in on this great price!

Have you gotten an impression from them as to what the final price will be? I know you said it would drop with quantity, and that at the point of having an order of approx. 20-30 sets would bring the price to around $350 w/ rings- is that still the estimate with 45+ sets on order?
Just curious more than anything else...

Well, we're making some changes (thicker wrist pins, for example) - They're doing what they can to ensure the cost does not overrun $332.50 INCLUDING wrings

For the purposes of this group buy, I'm going to leave the price as $332.50 until we actually have a list of PAYING people. I don't want to tell Probe that we are getting like 40 sets, and 1/2 the people back out at the last minute.

I'm not saying that will happen - just not one to count my chickens before they've hatched - and it wouldn't be fair to the other people in the group buy

But I WOULD recommend setting aside the funds to pay for it! This GB will only be 'officially' open for about a week or two, starting next week. That's why I posted this so far in advance - have the money ready.

Qwik, I could get .060" over, but I REALLY would heavily recommend against it on the 7M block. Toyota does state that over .5mm (.020") should be time to find a new block.

9:1 won't be possible, these are stock compression pistons

I agree - There has been plenty of forewarning for this killer deal - I'm confident that the people that want them, will certainly get them.

Besides, I want my car running before Fall, so I can whip some ass when I get back to college. I've got 2 MKIVs that need a lesson in humility :naughty:

Hmmm I really wanna get a set of these as this is the best compromise ever on forged pistons compared to stock longevity, smooth operation etc. Only problem is I have no idea what's my cylinders ID after my rebuilt...:icon_conf It has been so long afterall - like 4-5 years ago- so it's impossible for me to remember. It's either still stock bore or 0.5mm wider but still that would only be a guess :weak:. Doward are the pistons going to be available after the GB for a higher price or that will just be it after that?
