no, the TB was bored out so much, the inlet was paper thin. when i was test fitting the alternator on the drop bracket, i was moving it around thru its pivot and it found a loose spot and i bump the TB with the alternator case. i cut back that edge of the TB so it has an unmolested edge. then, i took a 3" mandrel bent elbow and slid it on to figure out the angle to clear the alternator and get the position you now see. since the TB is 2.75" OD and the elbow was 3.0" OD, i cut another 1/2" ring of the 3.0" OD tubing. i split it and filed down the ends, like a piston ring. with a gap, i could compress it to use it as a shim to take up the difference in diameter between the 3.0" OD elbow and the TB itself. thats why there are 2 welds on the TB elbow. it worked out perfectly though. i love the fitment. the silicone elbow and cold pipe fit up as if it were a bolt-on kit.
