Also whats everyones take on MKIV rims on MKIII's.

Thanks all,

I found a couple pictures but I would really like so see a polished set on a black MKIII.

I've run TT rims on just about all of my MKIII's after they came out in 1993.

I run P275/40/17's rear and P245/45/17's front.

The only exception is this car, which has P285/40/17's in the rear:

I had these pics lying around too, but they are not my cars:

What's the widest rears you can run without spacers? Today I pulled some off a MKIII at the junk yard (awesome find). It had 315's on the back (fit the rims themselves great), but they were pinned up against the shocks and were wearing into them. Hell, the finder liners had a strip melted in them from contact. Can you get away with 295's?

I'm running 285's on my daily driver without any rubbing. That's about as far as I'd be willing to push it.

I don't have spacers on any of my cars. 245's in the front, 275's & 285's in the back - no scrubbing.

I have J-Spec factory Gunmetal 16" TT alloys on my MKIII (but I have two spare sets of UK-Spec TT 17" 's for my UK-Spec MKIV)

I had a sent both my mkIII and MkIV ones sent off to get redone. Imo they look great. Only a coulple of other wheels I prefer Work Equips/Jay,Nick...a few others but don't know the names. As stated they fit and have a better footprint which is needed for the way I drive.

Mine.
