Thanks for the offer Dan but I don't have cheques either.
Okay. Post office money order, then. ;)

FWIW, my LEDs arrived in the mail today. I'll see if I can get this done on the weekend. I have 100 each of 3mm LEDs red and blue. I already have 5mm LEDs in abundance in various colours, which I was using for other things. I probably could have just used those for the climate control, but it's easier to go with what just works...

thanks a lot for everyone that offered to help me out I'll definitely keep it in mind but a friend of mine has ordered them for me off ebay today so they should be here in about 2 weeks. Now I just have to go get myself a soldering iron before it comes lol.

does anyone have pictures of a climate control where the temp readout colour was changed by changing the colour of the little plastic piece inside? I'm interested in doing that but I want to know how it looks before I do it.

I will have... Probably this evening, since this is when I plan on doing the LED conversion.

I also have some red plastic (Actually, it's supposed to be for IR remote windows) which I'm going to use for mine. I also have a bunch of these, which I bought for a different project, but ended up not needing.

If I was going to do CC's for members again how much do you guys think I should charge shipped? I am thinking of providing the service again. This would be all LED's and # display in your choice of colors.

probably too much. I am thinking $60 shipped back. Or close to that. Any lower and it becomes not really worth my time to stock parts and such.

Did it last night.

It's not that difficult, but desoldering is always finicky. You have to be careful not to damage the traces on the PCB. I had one trace lift on me, so I had to solder on a bit of wire to rebuild the circuit.

I did the buttons in red, and the indicators in blue. (Damn, but they're BRIGHT in the dark with the lights off.) I also tried to do the temp indicator in red, but I didn't remove the initial filter on the numbers themselves, so it're really dim. Green filter + red filter = very dim. I can fix that quickly enough though.

Next step will be to change the dahsboard colour.

That's really helpful for the people who don't want to risk it themselves. By the way guys would a 30 watt soldering iron be good for this? I'm pretty sure it'll be okay because it works for computers and xbox 360s lol but I just want to make sure.

yeah they look a lot easier. I just wanted to know is it possible for the pumps to fill up making them useless? Or is there a way to empty it out?
