Motor at the junkyard. about 225-250. 50% off at the end of the month.

machine work.
head and block machined say 100
pressure check say 40 tops
hone maybe 60-100

Screw the valve job it will prolly be about 600.

Rings about 60
Bearings 100
gasket kit 100
head gasket Stock 85-100 mhg 100-300
oil coolant maybe hose say 100.

All that and under 1k. Doubt there going to charge 2k to build it more like 600 i would think. Easily doable.

Uh, if I were him I'd stick to pancakes.

OP: We can maybe teach you about this car but we can't teach you about cars in general, an area in which you seem to be sorely lacking. As far as the heartache these cars bring this elitist asshole drove his for 22 years without problems.

And to touch on your other thread about being nervous the fact is any machine can be made extremely reliable. I entrust my life and the lives of those in my charge to such machines nearly every day. It's all about maintenance, money, skill, and knowledge. Without those you're just begging for trouble.

I wish i knew where you got your motor work done. You're telling me you know of a place where i can get my car towed in, and they'll pull the motor, dissassemble it, FULLY rebuild it PROPERLY? Then reassemble it and put it back in, and you would trust them on your Supra? For under 2k? I'm moving to Cali.

Where does it say removing and installing?

Its also not to hard to remove.
rent cherry picker from kragen.
remove ds and wiring harness from ecu
disconnect heater and rad hose
disconnect fuel lines
remove exhaust
remove slave cylinder
pull engine
(4 5speed)

There are also plenty of people in fresno that would help.

But does he want the help?

Im giving him options not telling him im going to kill him.

Your best bet at this point is to swap in a GE. I got everything but the longblock that ill give to you for free if you pick it up.

I know how to pull a motor, but he does not. Unless you know a way to make a 7m fly into and out of an engine bay, the shop is going to have to pull the motor. And i think he wants to BUILD the motor if he's going to pay to have it pulled.
Honestly bro, you're not going to be able to keep that car the way it is. If you want it to hold that much boost you either have to be willing to shell out the cash, or do the work yourself with some friends.
You would be better off going 1jz with a MHG and a big single, because to rebuild a 7m properly is going to cost you. Alot.
I made him a promise, and i stand by it. lol:bigun2:

I hella appreciate the assistance and moral support man. I have been talking to one of my friends, he has a 400 SBC in a 69 firebird. He said TOTAL rebuild with nice pistons, rods, the whole deal only set him back 2100....So....I might be able to have this done the right way....if I am not in prison for murder.

Keep us posted, and always plan for the worst. A good rule to live buy is this: When you begin planning a build, take your total estimated cost and double it. If you run into hidden expenses you won't mind as much, because you were prepared for it in the begining, and if you don't, and everything goes as planned you look like a magician for building your motor at half your initial cost. lol

oh god, I fucking missed some good shit! I was too busy hanging out with friends and smoking hookah all night! Once again, The weak link in the MKIII is the owner.. Sorry but from all your "noobish" posts from the beginning I knew this was going to happen.. Just yesterday at 2 am your car was great and so sick fast Bro on 25 lbs with no tuning.. Fuck, my 143,000 mile old Original engine that has never been re-built is still running strong good oil pressure! And I have been boosting the FUCK out of it.. I do oil changes every 2000 miles, check the oil EVERY single day maybe even twice a day.. (no one can say I'm over protective either) were talking about a 7M here..

You have to play to pay, Owning such a car, I personally don't think you should without any knowledge which you seem to have none..

And those pics are oh god, back to looking at lesbian porn.. Those just turned me off..

^ Easy there big fella. We all had to start somewhere. And you *are* being overprotective. Changing the oil every 2K miles is doing more harm than good. I checked the oil in car maybe once a month. Contrary to popular belief unless the engine has leaks or is badly worn there's no reason it needs to be done more frequently.
