all OEM hoses, replace with new.
Any maintanance items. Replace with new.
budget for when parts start to break (what ever you invested in mods, x2 for a piggy bank for the inevitable parts breakage).

Remember. the cars are OLD already. That means lots of items will need to be addressed.

figgie - iridiums are fine, copper is prefered because its a 'tougher' plug and it has a much larger tip, i personally run coppers in my turbo, and in my non turbo....

nah they are not. Only time ever to run iridiums is if the car is running a super hot spark (ie CDI system). Otherwise, no advantages over copper perhaps maybe mileage but for the cost. No way.

^Anywhere.

And you're pretty much Doomed! ;)

Also why a Greddy timing belt? I've run a regular gates/toyota timing belt for ages. It's a waste to go for a "blue" belt. It's nice but IDK.

AVOID HOT TANK!

I don't see anything MAP based in your mods list. Looks like you went to the Sound Performance site and made a Christmas list.

Personally I'd Still Call up Karlo, He's cheap and REALLY knows what he's doing. Very Nice Guy too.

Looks Fine.

As I said Earlier, It's a Bad idea to throw a MHG on a motor with Cast Pistons.

Detonate once, and BAM!

If you have a composite or stock HG the Gasket blows and you replace that and you're good to go.

Edit: That site is in canada. ;)

Ok. This is what Im confused about. The car use to be NA. It has a turbo conversion. Does that mean I can just slap a 7mgte and r154 in and call it good now or do I still need to do other things first?

Serisouly?

All you need to do is ask for spark plugs for your model supra. They will give you the appropiate spark plugs.

Well I usually buy NGK iridiums or platinums. I never knew about copper. I thought about pulstar but I havent heard too much feedback on them.

OMG WTF! Pulstar

You Seriously are new to the game. Just Ask For NGK, AutoLite, or Denso Standards.

But in all seriousness, READ and Learn.

Figgie is one of our best members and knows a Ton, and you've confused him. So IDK, Bud.

Doing a GTE swap with Mystery Motor isn't a good idea.

If you want to do 12's with Realiablity, time to look at GM transmissions and the JZ series.

The 7M and R series trans will make you learn how to change a clutch in no time. ;)

Like i said. Im learning. You cant find the answers without asking questions.

Wouldnt it be smarter to drop a 7mgte if I dont know everything about the motor I have now? Then at least I know everything thats in the car. Im pretty much just trying to start out fresh. The engines got shit going on and the transmission is kinda messed so if I drop a new engine and transmission, then itll eliminate all the problems, right?

Well if you do a tare down and rebuild, you'll learn all about the motor in a quickness.

But instead of having NA stuff with turbo stuff mixed in, wouldnt it be easier to just drop a 7mgte? then i dont have to worry about the compression stuf and all that because if i remember right, the NA has higher compression right?

How much boost are you going to run?

You could get turbo pistons and have oil squarters drilled in. :)

You need to Calculate Dynamic Compression based on your factors.

Static Compression isn't really what you're worried about with this motor. ;)
^If i need to explain this, Sell the car and buy a GEO. You should be able to figure out why.

Also Running "12's" is gonna take a beating onto the car, and don't you need a full cage to even touch a Strip at those trap speeds and times? So i think your budget needs adjustment.
