I'm just giving you hard time dude. Tools are always one of the first things that go cuz anyone can take them to the pawnshop for gas money, is my drug of choice these days.

Yea, my Egr cooler looks just like yours... I have a BUNCH of pics that were taken during my HG job...but sadly, I don't think I will see them for a long time! And yes, my water jackets were erroded almost to the point of going into the combustion chamber...it was pretty scary, but the machine shop seemed to do an okay job...had to send it back though (the edges around the jackets weren't smooth enough).

As for the tools, they were in my carport under a bunch of crap in the corner (looked like a huge pile of trash) There weren't any lights on back there due to the fire a couple of weeks ago that melted all of the wiring for the flourescent lights that are usually on. I guess somone went rummaging in the absolute darkness, and got lucky...but oh well, I got another set for like 75 bucks...so it's all good....and yes, everything is now secured under lock and key.

good to hear you fixed your delema. and i bet they had some sort of flashlight. unless they grabbed a toolbox that was easy to get... but anyway.... are you done with your BHG?


UPDATE- i found ONE leak that was a problem. i lost about a cup of oil a day because the driver's side coolant hose was not clamped on and slowly squirted coolant down my firewall and under the car. i KNEW i spell coolant but didnt realise it until i saw the puddle. then it all came together. running good now!

i also determined the noise i felt and heard is MUCH more prominent when my clutch pedal is depressed, so maybe it's a throwout bearing. i know almost nothing about full-size clutch system so i can't diagnose this on my own.

I am just about to get the money I need. I am swaping everything out, starter alternator, all of it, everything. It's a comprehensive type I dont want to do this for a long time ever again kind of build. so....., no. sorry. I wish I was though. I miss the ol girl.
