I need to replace my oil pan gasket, it looks like from the factory they use gasket maker instead of a gasket, what would hold better should I use a gasket or gasket maker to make my own seal?

IJ. said:Only "issue" with RTV compared to the Toyota FIPG is the RTV bonds and is really hard to make let go if you have to pull the pan later on!
(I trashed my old steel pan pulling it off)

PorterzSupra said:I have it the right way, for some reason this NA block has a different oil pump position. The 2 pans turbo and NA have oil pump hoes cut in completely different positions. The NA block has a big hole in the center for the pump and the turbo has a small hole cut on one side. Guys im not crazy the NA and turbo pans I have are completely different!
