ok so i have decided im going to do dual walbro 255 setup, w/beech performance hanger. now this is were i get lost and maby someone knows the sizes of these hoses. currently the setup i have is the suprasport.com AFPR kit the specs for that are "aeromotive AFPR, -6 ports. SS exclusive install kit: Fuel Rail Fitting 12mm to -6an AFPR -6 inlet fitting AFPR -6 plug for unused port AFPR -6/-6 adaptor for return Braided hose, Rail to AFPR Braided hose, AFPR to hard-line at frame (return)"

so basically the whole thing is -6 an hoses, but the hanger from beech they can weld on the fitting of my choice, normally they would just do -8. now do you guys think i should just up my hose size to -8 AN? or just have him put on a -6.

"this is the specs i got from another post on the beech performance hanger"
The hangers come with brand new ss bolts to mount them thay have a -8AN aka 1/2 feed fitting and a -6AN aka 3/8 return line fiting

also i want to replace all the hard lines under the car with an hoses and also will have to get a high performance filter.

now what im guessing is lengths of the hoses, tank to filter about 3 to 5 feet of hose?

filter to the shock tower were my FPR is located 10 to 15 feet?

now should i do the return lines as AN hoses? or just leave them alone?

so as for parts what im looking at are these

-6

-8

-8

I don't know what popular opinion is anymore, but when I was setting up my car for dual walbros (didn't complete in the end) I was told to use a magnetic shield between the pumps. You should still be able to get it from MVP.

anyone have any ideas, what i got from wes beech from beech performance told me this in a email, just thought i would get your guy's opinion "What i would do is cuth the plug off the back of the rail and weld on a -8 fitting and plug the stock feed and run a -8 from the pump to the rail and a -6 return thats how my car was done before but now im running tripple pumps and a -10 feed."

so if i read this right its -8 AN hose from dual pumps to filter then to rail, then -6 AN hose back to the tank.

please correct me if im wrong but isnt the bigger the number for AN hoses doesnt that mean its bigger? or smaller?

thanks again

AN sizes are in fractions of 16th's...for example:

AN-8 = 1/2"
AN-10 = 5/8"

And so on...so, yes the bigger the AN number, the larger the hose/fitting.

i know and im saying the pump lol, i dont think i need to get a bracket for the kid lol, they invented car seats for a reason. although mounting the baby may be hard due to the fact of racing seats and no rear seats, might have to make a custom hook for the baby seat lol

dropping by once again, just thought i would update a little, sorry for being slow and poor :p but i got the engine apart once again, got the HG rivets removed, the front timing cover is not level with the deck surface with the help of my girlfriends dad and a vertical mill with a digital readout. got a new front timing cover gasket and new seals again. cleaned up the transmission via pressure washer lol worked out nice may i put. also i literally took everything apart and re-lubed and made sure all of the specs were good. torqued the arp studs to 85ft/lbs with 3 passes of 65-75-85 got the flywheel back on the engine and also the clutch, now that spring break is coming up im going to get the transmission mounted on the engine and get it dropped in. the IC pipes will be delt with another time, but as for now it stays this way. but a new route and welding will be done. the fuel tank sump will be welded up this weekend. and be placed in there. also keep an eye out i will be doing some garage cleanup and will be selling alot of stock parts. if you need somthing go ahead and PM me now with a price and what it is your looking for and if i see it when im cleaning ill send you a PM back.

parts still to go:
turbo oil feed/return
fuel lines and adapters
Fuel rail "maybe"
RC 8XX CC injectors
and oil cooling components.

quick question on the water bypass. i am trying to remember all that is hooked up to that, i got the one that was obvious in the back of the engine, but there is a port that is blocked on either side and was trying to find information on it and couldnt find much. any help would be nice. and a picture before it goes in the bay.

also like i said the sump is getting welded around wensday and was curious what others have done for these, are the gas tanks galvanized? copper wire to reduce risk of warpage? any help and additional thoughts are helpful thanks anyone who reads this

NIce build man. ANd ask as many questions as you need here. You may not get an answer from me as I am not as skilled and smart with the 7m as IJ and others. But it will save you lots of headaches if you were to start it and run it for the first time after a build.

Also, congrats on the newborn.

And also while you have everyhitng out of the car again. Why not invest in a FFIM if you have the money. It seems ike you do just spending a crap load on all this stuff. It willl make things work better and install should be smoother, you may be able to keep the turbo after the purchase of the bigger injectors and so forth. also you can cut the compressor and reweld a 90 to hide the pipes and not go over the intake. you may also need a t4 spacer, well prob most definitely. I almost took the exact steps as you until i figured out and these new alternative methods were introduced and able to acquire.

good luck man. ill be checking this out often.

i was actually planning on welding a 90 on since the clearance of hood is well nothing, the spacer i cant find, i mean i have a lifted spacer but i need a twist, if i can get a twist on the flange then i can make space to aim the compressor down instead of up, FFIM's are nice and yes would make my life eaiser, but i seriously cannot afford one at the moment, i just need it to start and move a small distance lol then i got a dyno at my school im going to use with the help of my professors to get tuned, also the map-ecu is probably going to get exchanged out with a AEM EMS hopefully. but i am defiantly taking donations and again i have stuff to sell so if anyone needs anything PM me.

new update again, engine and transmission are now together and its dropped in place, got the gas tank welded up with the sump and going to test it for any leaks tomorrow or maybe today, talked to modular turbo about getting a different turbo and this is what i think i might be going with,

T70 .68 a/r
Oil feed and drain Kit
Tial 44mm 4 bolt

1100 shipped

im going to be looking in to a new oil cooler and AN lines for that, maybe just some hard lines. and a friend i help build motors with has informed me of a store nearby that supplies AN hoses and fittings and lots of other hydraulic type items :) so any information or added information on what should be going on next would be supportive to me at this point. the rear sub frame is still to be welded up though due to the huge separation happening.

i havent posted any updated pictures here in a while, but over the spring break i got a good amount accomplished, i got the transmission and engine together, got the fuel pump holes drilled, exhaust system is dropped to further modifications, the fuel tank is sumped, the engine is now in with the transmission, got 25FT of -10 hose and all my fittings, got a LIPP high flow fuel rail and 100 and 10 micron aeromotive filter's ordered and on the way, -8 fittings all around because im doing the dual feed. -6 return.

i currently am going to start working on the engine harness to lengthen any wires that are needed. get it set as if it were going to be started the next day, test my electrical system.

things that need to be done still, oil cooler and lines/ new turbo and wastegate / feed and drain / route all the fuel lines / mount all of the hardware / paint gas tank / run around in a couple of circles and scratch my head.

and now for the pictures

now i know someone is going to ask about the sump and what is up with it, well it ended up the metals were different and made it a pain in the ass to weld, but we got it on made it bullet proof as possible and filled it with water, we found small leaks on it and tried to get it fixed up as possible but it just ended up getting more and never seemed to end, so to make it solid and not leak, and also make it look nicer when it gets painted we bought 4 things of J-b weld :biglaugh: yes it is a little rigged but it works. just have to sand it all down now

ok so i thought i would pop another update, this weekend i recieved my LIPP high flow fuel rail and my 2 aeromotive fuel filters 10micron and 100 micron filter, was able to get all of the lines "-10" routed and and also all the fittings on, the gas tank is now in place and the pump and filters are in place, the rear end is going to get taken out and inspected and get the frame welded up where the bolt hole is cracked, but just to give an idea of what the system looks like now i give you the work of art
