or you can do a HG job, pick apart a GTE for its manifold, electronics and turbo, and have yourself a nice little NA-T, and take advantage of the 4.30, and ACIS...

ACIS doesn't work under positive pressure. see drjonez's sites for details. ;)

the 4.30, however, :)

Progress... i got intake, tb and top half of the intake manifold off... still trying to think how im going to yank the engine... i personally have never removed a 7m engine by myself.. but i pretty much know where everything is.

yeah to yank everything all you got left is exhaust mani, power sterring, ac if it has it, radiator, all electrical connections, starter, you got two fuel lines, a ground and the two hoses on the back of the head. and of course motor mounts and trany bolts if your leaving your tranny in.

ok another update.. its raining... and its really pissing me off, i want to work on my car.

So i took inside all of my parts.. and started cleaning.. my fingers and thumbs are sore and my fingerprints are gone,... i've been cleaning shit for almost 5 hours.. but i gotta do it... Im going to clean everything that i can.. im doing this all right and the best i can.. so i can have a good outcome.

Anyways.. i spent about an hour alone dissasembling the TB and cleaning it meticulously. its pretty damn clean and i got all the buildup out of it. Now im working on the outside of the AFM.. next will be the intake manifold upper and lower.... i realy wanted to pull the head off today.. but that doesnt look like its going to happen anytime soon with this damn rain.

Anyways.. i at the least took off the valve covers.. and saw that the heads and cams LOOKED to be in pretty good shape.. just needs a good oilchange.

OH yeah.. ive also been cleaning the interior out.. its in REALLY great shape.. but they let it get fuckin nasty.. so i spent a good portion of yesterday and about an hour today cleaning, dissasembling and using armor all... heres a before pic.. after pic will come in a few mins.

EWWWW

More progress.. and the last of it for tonight..

i worked my ass off cleaning the upper intake manifold, and Y pipe.. i scrubbed with paint thinner for about an hour on each, then used a metal polish(the cotton stuff that smells like its soaked in gas) then painted it with high temp alluminum finish paint.

WORD!!

so why didn't you just put that money toward getting a 2J and than a 1j bellhousing.I think it would have been a lot smarter of a idea.

One idea I had that you could do to save some money even tho you did a great good cleaning that y pipe and mani I think you should get a turbo mani and t/b because it will let more air in and than on top of that port and polish it yourslef so will flow a lot better and than give it a good old Nomad cleaning and your good.

btw I have never seen anybody be able to clean anything that nice with out useing a sand blaster,or glass beader.good job

thanks for the compliments... 2J is down the road... i really dont like a 2J unless its in a mk4.. they are cool and all.. i just like sticking with the 7m.. it came with my car.. people diss them alot.. and i just want to prove them wrong.. lol.

I will go 2j as soon as i have at least 20,000$ in the bank.

If i do go 2J anything, it will be a 2j mk2

Anywho.. it will still stay NA for a while.. i got alot of work ahead of me...Plus i got these nice 1mm oversized valves.. cams, and adjustable cam gears.

My dad is working on fabricating a TH350 system to work for my poopra.

more pics soon... ups hasnt showed up.. but theres a boatload of parts coming in today.
Also talking to dad about a new rear end.
