The plug resting on my thumb is the one that needs to be bridged. The two lower connectors in that plug that face the same way.
dopeassjackson;1448789 said:the two wire are 10 awg wires? if so those are connected. its the start signal to the starter. the motor cranks so i must have wired those correctly. whats that white plug with the red rubber seal on the inside? i was thinking that was the trans plug. i jumped two wires in there and it didnt help.
thank you but i ordered one monday that should be here tomorrow or saturday. its a 88 supra auto harness with a jdm cressida motor.shaeff;1449131 said:^ Don't know what wire off hand, I'd have to look at the EWD, but are you using pre '89 wiring on this? (yellow plugs at the ECU?)
If so, I've got a spare 7MGE ECU you can try. The 7M ECU's rarely go bad, but it's a possibility. I've never seen a fried ECU, personally.
i saw that link before but the guy is useing way diffiren harness than me. i also looked at a wire diagram for the engine and 4runner for over 3 days. im a auto tech my trade so i can read a diagram fairly well as well as use a DVOM.wiseco7mgt;1449368 said:Here's a link to a well written up swap for the 7m into a mark2, i realize you have a 4 runner but the same wires will be used in your swap as well, so just take a look and compare with what you've already done.

lol its got a rotor in it.shaeff;1449539 said:Have you had the distributor cap off? Did someone maybe take the rotor out before you got the motor in your possession? Stupid, yes, but I've seen some crazy things that people do. LOL.
(By the way, I'm planning a high CR 7MGTE swap into my Pickup! ) Do you go wheeling anywhere around here, or you just putting the 7M in for fun on the street?
shaeff;1449827 said:Hot damn! That's a totally badass 'Runner! I'm not a big mud fan either, but I do play around every so often when I find someplace fun. What SAS kit (if any) is that? I'm totally diggin' the exocage too. I don't plan on going any larger than 33x10.5's as the pickup is my wintertime DD. I just picked up a tru-trac rear for it, as I don't want to lock the rear (e-locker or ARB) until I SAS the front- then the tru-trac will go up front for snow driving.
I'd love to meet up and take a look at that beast! I've seen a few Toyotas around with some serious work done, but never got to talk to anyone. There were two guys at the Hudson Valley Mall with rock crawlers that pretty much parked on each other's rigs. It was badass.
Where do you wheel it? The powerlines down your way? I never find anyplace that's legal.
dopeassjackson;1449865 said:i built all the SAS brackets my self. we mostly go out of state to rausch creek to wheel. your better off with a selectable locker in the front and somthing like a detroit in the rear. my rear is welded and lockright in the front. the lockright limits steering on the dirt alot. in the snow i dont even lock the front hubs unless im aired down to about 3-5psi.
what color were the trucks at the mall and how long ago?
power lines arnt legal and kind of flat. could probably be fine with a stock truck.
i got some IFS front axles and controll arms that you can have if you want them as spares. i will never need them.
