Wasn't able to run with slicks last night but went out for fun anyways on the new trans and turbo setup.

Went 12.4 @ 113 with a 2.1 60ft on 225 hankook street tires. Spun 2nd and a little bit of 3rd but kept it straight and solid.

7MGE 153k miles old
Ct 2657 @ 16 PSI (turned down 4psi for better traction)
External Wastegate setup
RC750CC injectors
Lexus AFM
Stock 7MGE cams
A340E (custom valve body by yours truly) 2800 re worked stall
Deatschwerks 300lph pump
E85
Full weight auto supra including full size spare and 10 inch sub
Hankook Ventus 225/50R16 all around

Inching towards 12's, Air temp was 95F @ 10:30pm! Can't wait for winter and slicks.

Nice read, A friend of mine as a a built auto as well, but his does not shift at 6500 I think its closer to 6000. Thats why I was curious.

If he had cams, it would still be making power up to 6500 and wouldn't just be to keep it revved high for the next gear... WINK WINK. ;)

Street tires do in fact benefit massively from a good and proper burnout just before a run. The only other thing that made as huge a difference was lowering rear tire pressure on street tires to 20-25 psi.

Without the burnout I fought for traction the entire way down the track and my best trap was 104. With a burnout same conditions my trap was 118 (although I still had some slippage). My best trap ever has been 128 and on street tires with burnout.

Thats the funny part. No I don't. Between a slippy clutch and poor traction. And admittedly not being the best drag racer in the universe my time for that trap was a miserable 12.9. I'll try to dig out the slip for the other details. But I am pleased with my trap as I think it shows the potential of my setup once I get my shit sorted out.

But I don't wanna jack this thread. Devin's trap/time is worthy of more than just a small amount of respect. Good job man!

Hmm, what has more to cause that effect though, the lower tire pressure, or the heating of the tires? Just curious, I don't get to play at tracks very often. :(
