I'm picking my car up tomorrow. I took a few pictures of it as it was before, during and after the paint job. I'll take more once I get it home and cleaned up, but here are the ones I have.

Bring it on, I can take it.

Pictures before.

I've removed the three piece wing and I installed a whale tail. I also added the rear skirts and had them molded in.

This shows what the color I chose looks like up against my old color. I ended up adding a pint of silver metallic to it to lighten it up some.

Here is a picture of the rear skirt before fully assembled.

Here's one of the whale tail while in the prep mode.

I also had my wheels repainted with a metallic silver while I was at it.

Here's some of it after it was sanded down.

I pick it up tomorrow at about 8:30 and then I'll try and get some more pictures of it with it completely finished after my basketball game.

I know this was painted in a shed on a dirty concrete floor, but it looks great in person and I'm very happy with it. I can't wait to clean it up and drive it down the road. The clear coat will be blinding people for miles and miles..........:biglaugh:

I also removed the turbo badge just in case some of the locals want to jump on a naturally aspirated turbo car...........:evil2:

What kind of paint was used? Doesn't look like the primer was guide coated & blocked, or wet sanded. Should have took the extra time/payed the guy to remove the moldings, and at least take off the easy stuff that's bolted on the car. Tape lines are a good starting point for peeling. I'm hoping it's your camera, but it looks like he sprays really dry. That's the kind of paint jobs we did at school. Amateurish at best. You could have done that.

I didn't prep this car. All I did was spray it. Notice all of the taped over stuff... including the radio antenna? He didn't even prime and block to find any highs or lows. No sealer either. This amateur job was done at school.

Base coat.

Clear coat. This guy used Matrix base with Transtar Euro Classic Clear. You can buy that clearcoat at NAPA & O'Riely's I believe. Cheap stuff, but it layed on very nicely. I don't know how it's going to hold up though.

Yeah, they should HAVE NOT left the molding on there. It will chip very easily where the body and molding meet. It looks like there were a lot of short cuts taken from a professional point of view :( Leaving the taillights in, the B pillar moulding, the windows, gas cap cover... all that needs to be taken out for the paint to have proper coverage and ensure longevity.
