The only way to store any head is to turn it over with the valves facing up. You can store it sitting on the valves side if they are no cams installed.

yea I got that...notice the spare. I only turned it over to take a picture. Its on the sitting on the cams right now.

So today I got a little bored on my day off while waiting for parts. So I installed my replacement Pearl White driver side fender. I still have to take the rest of the decal off but the paint matches so thats all that matters. Now to find a replacement Pearl White driver side head light cover. The one I have on now is only white. I also got the drilled and slotted rotors for but I didn't get pictures of those. But I will sooner or later.... now some pics.

The before fender

Did you work on it by any chance?

WORK ON IT?! Dude i had to set the head down on a custom (made by my father & i) wood table. I had to put the pins back 24 times X god knows how many retries since they kept poping out = PITA! Without the correct tools its a nightmare. The MK2's now is by far easy & only 12 valves. :icon_bigg

A little pricey but saves you the PITA. Im too poor as you can see so i did it the hard way

hey guys, I just got my Pistons (.020 over, but they say .050 on them), my new Toyota Timing belt, idler pulley, and SS braided clutch hose for the R154. I'm getting my Bearings sometime this week, as long with the Head gasket as long as I can measure it, and find out what size I need. Tomorrow i'm taking the pistons down to the machine shop tomorrow to have them finish up the work, and also going to take measurements for the gasket. So till then. Here are some pics of new parts haha.

SO I took in all the parts and I told the machinist i'm wanting to use ARP rod bolts, and he tells me that a reconditioning of the rod is needed, which would be another $260 dollars. So I got to looking on Supramania, and Surpaforums, and no one has said these is required. So hopefully they finish the rest of the piston work so and I can start on the reassembly.

So today was a good day, last week I called my machine shop, the Engine Lab (http://www.enginelaboftampa.com/) to see how my block was doing. They informed me they were a little backed up, and it would be done sometime next week. Well I go there today, because i'm running a few errands by there anyways to see how its going, and to my surprise they motor is sitting on a bench ready to go. I was very surprised to see that. So I pulled out the good ole' Master-card, and took care of business. They were asked to do a line bore on the mains, over bore the cylinders for .020 pistons. Measure the deck/mains saddle height for head gasket choose. Here are a few pictures of the block when I picked it up. I'm going to receive my bearings and head gasket tomorrow, then ill have more pictures.

These is what it looks like o be a little excited about having my motor back lol
