wait why would the shims be any different then? Did you try to shim the .01" out so you switched in different shims? I am confused...lol Have you put the timing light on all the plugs to make sure each one is firing? But if does start up and run, just with a horrible miss?

What heat range plugs Scott?

They're 7's. I replaced them with new and the motor runs a little better but it's still missing.

I did a valve adjustment while the head/cams were out. The plugs are all firing, and it does start up and run. It just doesn't pull any vac. at all.

I started to measure the clearance of the shims and they seemed to be out of spec (good news). I can't be sure because the motor was still warm and the TSRM specifically says to measure when cold.

I'll take measurements tomorrow, just to be sure.

EDIT: lol.. looks like the valves are being held open because some fucktard did the math wrong and ordered their shims too thick ;)

Get out the belt grinder and get to work!......my first motor I mixed all the shit up and didn't even know it. Went to start and zero compression across the board...lmao The shim system is shit, someone needs to make adjustable ones!

Well let me know when its done! Whats the website for the dyno place?

gj bro

lol thanks man, but I never did hit 700 tho. I could do it, i honestly don't want to. 650+ is absolutely useless most of the time.

Awesome. Good to see the great numbers.

It just supports my experience with these turbos. I had a similar turbo which I ran up to 28psi on E85 and some serious timing. I never got it dyno'd but I was pretty sure I was over 700rwhp with my supporting mods.

Now put some better fuel up in there and turn up the boost or give it a little more timing.
