Sorry to burst your bubble but ......

A Felpro is a stock thickness :3d_frown:

And with a head warped that much, it's 50/50. I'm done (should have been 3 posts ago)...good luck.

When buying from the site listed earlier, www.headsonly.com, like jdub said, I would be concerned about the head's history.

I recently bought a head from CHI, and after inspection, found that it measured 114.046mm. This means that 1.954mm were removed from the head. What's more, there was an area at the back of the head that was not machined flat with the rest of the surface. I requested a refund, sent the head back and am currently waiting on the refund.

Just my .02

btw, anybody know where to get a GOOD rebuilt gte head? :icon_surp

I have had my head decked several times. I am only using a 1.2mm MLS head gasket. And since decking the block .028" and going to the MLS I havent had any overheating issues nor any preignition issues at high boost Like I was expecting.

Dude, listen to jdub, and everyone else that has given you advice.
Did the machine shop tell you the head was WARPED more than they liked, or decked/planed more than they'd like?
If the head is warped, it's JUNK. The gasket thickness is completely irrelevant. No matter what size gasket you get(btw the fel-pro is stock thickness, your shop was right). It won't change that your head is WARPED. You're going in the complete wrong direction.
But good luck, I look forward to the "What's this waterfall noise? Why is there smoke out my exhaust? Why won't my cams turn?" thread.

take it to a real head shop and pressure test it. if it passes, deck the head and go thick.
unless you have money in the head, i'd just go snag one at a pull-apart or junkyard and let a shop rebuild it.

my head has been milled twice, took off 10 thousandths this last time around. Pressure tested fine, cams turn fine, life goes on. *whee*

You said your head was warped. But you sound like you don't know the difference between warped and decked, or milled.
This is how you check for warpage. Do it, or throw time and money into a useless head.

flight, cams will turn fine after milling, given the head is not warped. If the head is warped, so are the cam caps.

i know, i was saying that the cams turn as proof that my head WASNT too warped :)

i took the head to the shop to get milled because the head overheated, warped, and blew headgasket.

i'v done meausrements with the machine shop and with the thickness of the head gasket i have he said it will work fine. by the way i was wrong on the warpage amount.. it was warped .011 not .11 so its barely warped agian like i said there was miss communication between the 3 parties working on this.
