Nice ground strap by the BOV :sarcasm:. I haven't forgotten, I will score some more of the 0 gauge woven stainless steel straps as soon as I can & get them to you. You'll have them by the time you drop the new motor in....

Polish looks great BTW!!! Are you satisfied with the tires??? I know you were going to go postal if they were not up to your high standards of tire stickyness.:biglaugh:

They're sticky enough. They can still get loose if I get on it too hard, but they're a hundred times better than what I had. Once I've driven on them for a few minutes and they get warmed up, they hold excellent.

I just ordered some zoop seal to make the shiney parts stay shiney without having to polish them every day. I can't wait to get that onthere.

I couldn't take the pressure from the Red's anymore and if you can't beat 'em, you join 'em.

I don't know if it looks as good as the blue metallic, but it's starting to grow on me........:biglaugh:

My dash has been cracked for a while now, so I bought another one to install after painting it. I started roughing it up some today after I took these pictures. I've got sooooo much to do before march, but I'm determined to get it all done. Hopefully I dont' fall short.

Here's one of how it is now.

Heres a couple of the brown dash that's going in it. This one came out of a 1987, but it should do the trick.

That's all the pics I have now.

List of things to do before March.

1: Paint new dash and glove box and install.
2: Remove head and have it rebuilt with new springs.
3: Remove 1jz from car and replace with 2jz block.
4: Install 2jz block, new Drewgo down pipe, new Drewgo manifold, after some modifications.
5: Replace everything associated with clutch;
1. new slave cylinder
2. new clutch master cylinder
3. new clutch line from master to slave cylinder
4. new clutch disk
5. check pressure plate and reuse it. (it's almost new)
6. install new Driftmotion 1jz flywheel
6: Try and have intercooler piping fixed without so many couplings
7: Try and find new exhaust.
8: Remove mudflaps and install rear skirts.
9: Paint front and rear bumper and targa top (yours truly doing this)

Other than that, all I have to do is pack and I'm ready to go.

i like the blue look, but i also like the red look... and i really want a green look!

its funny how similar your list is to mine, i was going to buy a 3'' kit and possibly 3 '' inlet/outlet IC and make it myself and have a shop weld it up. so then i would only have 4 couplers total! right now im doing it with 9 or 10 in 2.5 and partial 3.0 form

I don't know how many couplings I have on it now, but it's too many. I may or may not get to fix these before the Texas meet. It's kind of low on my list of priorities.

Good gravy!!!
:slap:

That had better be fixed by the time I get down there, you know my fear of the color red!!!!

Also if you are painting it yourself I am not going to let you use that old gun of mine you inherited from me. I will ship you my good guns!!!

Scott, they may pull my award from me if the moderators come in here and check this thread.

A couple of pictures for you picture whores, and you know who you are............:biglaugh:

Here's a picture of my new down pipe that I bought from Drewgo. It is gorgeous.......

Here is one of my new manifold that I also got from Drewgo. My wastegate will now be in the engine bay instead of under the car...........

This is a picture of my dash after being primered. I have one coat of blue on it already, but it's not picture worthy yet. I also started sanding on my targa top. I've got to get some of that red off..........:aigo:
p904603_3.jpg

I also received my Toyota gasket set for the car today. I'm going to go with the stock head gasket since that's what everyone has told me to do. I'm going to take my head to the machine shop tomorrow and have it rebuilt. I've got to find out if we can find some oversized valves for it, but I haven't had any luck yet. I have not yet begun to fight.......Ask not what you.......and all of those other cliche's.

How much did that zoop seal set you back and where did you get it from?
Also did you use a speical primer or just the regular stuff?
