Good job Mark. I'm still having some issues with the afr's not staying consistent. I don't know if it will always fluxuate so much or not. I took the irridiums out and put the ngk 6097's back in. I couldn't make the irridiums work under high boost. I wonder if I could call them and have them gap me a set at .022 and send them to me so I wouldn't hav to gap them myself?

George and I are going to try and clean the cars up this weekend so I'll get some pictures although the car looks identical. I haven't changed anything about the appearance. I do like taking pictures of it though.

Mark, luckily for you, I don't have your number any more. My phone cracked and I can't see the numbers in my old phone. I have a new one now, but I have to take it to a Tmobile store not too far from here so they can get all of my numbers off of it.

I'm about to put 6097's back in, my iridiums break up too. I know that it's due to incorrect gap, but I couldn't get them set right since I couldn't touch the electrode. I'd buy another set if I could get them gapped at .025ish.....

Always had a stumble around Tq peak at high boost with IR's no matter how small I set the gaps.
(I cheated a little and gave it some more advance around that zone and this helped but didn't cure it 100%)

I know what you mean. Iridiums aren't the cure for a poor tune...

IJ, what plugs are you running? I have the 6097's and they seem to work o.k., but if there is one out there better, then I want that one. Thanks.

My car tore up on me at the Texas meet, so I'll have to go back and start over. I think I may have a broke piston. Either way, it'll have to be rebuilt.

It was rebuilt by a local machineshop, but undoubtedly something wasn't right. It only has 2400 miles on it including the trip to Texas and back. I won't know what happened until I take it apart later on. Aaron thinks I could have broke a piston. All I do know is that it sucks to have beautiful weather out and not be able to drive my car. I'm thinking about waiting until I have enough money and going ahead and building a 2jz head for it. I'll let you know more about it once I do.

hope its nothing major. were the AF's going way lean while messing around or did you run the car on the track and then it messed up?

iv only got about 1500 miles on my 1.5jz still holding up.
