Previously I had said I had Momo too, maybe a better deal, maybe not. I wasn't trying to upsell CK by any means, cuz he's a hella cool guy and he was being cool to me too. I just thought i'd mention that I had it available too if CK didnt come back or if he wasn't reacheable, but apparently that wasn't the best way of putting it.

So I just wanted to say that to rectify the situation, Peace guys!

Oh. Crap.

First of all, thanks to Ace (Grimsta / Zankoku Performance) for hooking me up with an AEM wideband and helping me install it. Today, I got the bung welded into the downpipe and finished hooking everything up. I've got my fuel pressure cranked up to 48 PSI with the AFPR. Now, I need to tune it with the AFC Neo. Here's what is odd...

So far I've had to RICHEN the mixture. WTF is up with THAT? I haven't really gone driving, and now I'm kind of afraid to. I don't want to wash down the rings, but I don't want to run lean and detonate, either. Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap.

Over the gauges lean limit @ idle. I haven't driven it yet, I'm too worried. I've been searching around the site for a while and I see that a normal idle AFR is 14.7. I did notice when I got on the throttle a bit it went to about 14.

Perhaps what you thought was enrichening on the NEO was actually leaning out? Remember how I asked that last night? Its cool you finally got it all together. Tired today ;)

Well, I disconnected the wideband's output and reconnected the stock O2. Ran much better, no super lean condition. We're all good now. :bigthumb:

I think the output is on the wrong setting. I can switch it around any time, but at least I know what I'm running at right now.

Ace: Tell me about it. I didn't get to bed until 4AM, and I had to be at work @ 9 today.

The engine would not even run if you were off the scale lean at idle.

Be careful running 48psi static fuel pressure, you don't want to go past 60psi on the stock injectors, and it would only take 12psi of boost to get there if you start at 48psi. I would say 45psi is a little safer setting. If the fuel pressure goes to high, the injectors will run too hot and you could have one stick open or closed. Don't go more then 20% above stock is a general rule, which would be 45.6psi with no vacuum from the manifold.

That's why I think the output is sending the wrong voltage to the ECU. IF the stock o2 runs 0-1v and the AEM is outputting 0-5, the ECU has no idea what to do with that voltage. When I hook the stock one back up and have the AEM only monitoring, car runs great. If I hook up the AEM, it's got almost no power and runs lean until I get into the throttle more.

You would want to switch to mode 3 on the UEGO I believe it is. In your pamphlet it explains the different modes and one of them was a ??? curve that ran from 0-1V. Just pop your gauge out and use a small flat head to turn that dial

You mean P3, which emulates an Autronic Wideband O2 sensor calibration? The Nernst Cell calibration (P4) ALSO runs 0-1v, but in the opposite direction.

Also, I seem to have a new rev limiter. I can only get up to 6500, then it pops, then 7000? Very odd.

Well, I drove around last night tuning the AFC. I got it tuned much better than it was before. It's not running quite so fucking rich anymore.

Today, I went to CMI in Sacramento. God, that was a waste of $30 and 3/4 tank of gas. Tons of fucking Hondas, most running 15s, and every one of them with open headers. Damn that was annoying.

Another thing that pissed me off was the track condition. It's like they haven't cleaned it in 20 fucking years! I couldn't get any goddamn traction, and only managed to squeak a 14.03. Here's the kicker though...

I trapped 104! I could EASILY run mid to low 13s if the track wasn't so shitty. ALL the RWD cars there were having problems. 4 of the 5 Supras there ran low 14s. Jeff (Jaws Gear) was the only one to run lower than 14 seconds.
