Hmmm...That's pretty quiet for an RFL...even without a load on the engine...

The one on the 7M i was driving was INSANELY loud at the slightest amount of boost.

On a 1jz the stock bov port is only about 3/4" id, it would be louder if it was installed closer to the intake manifold with a bigger flange.

I pretty much just put it on because:
a) It increases the bling factor of my engine bay sarcasm
b) It will be helpful when I get around to turning up the boost
c) It was cheap ($60) ::w00t::

I also put the silencer back in the RS*R today, because that thing was too fucking loud. I'll take it back out for dyno purposes, but I can't deal with the intense droning anymore. The car only makes about 10 PSI now, which SUCKS, but it sounds like a JET in the cabin. I also like to hear my nice new BOV. :biglaugh:

That's okay, since Kumho is discontinuing the Ecsta ASX, I got them on the cheap.

Also, I changed out the Boost meter for a Vac/Boost gauge. It was free, too.

The roads have dried up, so I tried out the turbo timer's 1/4 mile estimator, here's what I got:

And that's only at 10 PSI! :biglaugh: Silencer in, NO tune, and with some wheel spin at 6K. I'm happy today.
