Just got back from an hour long test drive after installing the AFC. I'm pleased to say that nothing blew up, nothing caught fire, and the unit works perfectly. Now all I need is the Aeromotive kit and some tuning, and I'm done.

(For a little while, at least. :evil2:)

It's 11:30, and with nothing better to do, I went ahead and moved the boost gauge to fit the AFC. It's not a PERFECT fit, but with a little trimming of the... trim, it'll squeak in nicely.

And yes, it still runs. :biglaugh:

What did Moe say that's so bad, Jay? :dunno:

Edit: Oh wait. The 350-400 HP comment. LOL.

Jay, you live in a rural area. Our area is very urban, with lots of traffic. Here, a 350-400 HP car is just enough for a daily driver. You never really get to use most of it anyway. :biglaugh:

done? We're never done.
Sorry Jag, I posted mine before I read yours. I keep thinking I'm going to be done, but I have so many plans for my car. I need a second job.

Lol... you're gonna have your car tuned before me and I've had the parts sitting here for at least a month.

I have an AFC2 and a zeitronix wideband but too lazy to put them in the car.

That boost gauge looks like it would fit perfectly where the cig lighter is.

I can't believe you went that fast. I would be too much of a pussy, and proud of it. Wow, if you had had a blowout or something there'd be nothing left of you to bury......but what a way to go!

Hadn't thought of that. That's a good idea. I'll work on that tomorrow. :naughty:

Well, it doesn't look GREAT, but it's certainly better than exposed wiring.

I'm going to cut a little ring of black plastic to cover that up. Not bad for my first time modifying shit with a Dremel.

[Okay, I lied. The Dremel pissed me off so I took an air powered cutting wheel to it. :biglaugh:]

QUESTION! :wavey:

I'm buying this BOV from another member tomorrow. I went out and looked at the car, should be an easy install, right?

My idea is as follows: Remove boost lines from stock BOV, remove charge pipe line from stock BOV, leave stock BOV in place. Connect the stock charge line to the bottom of this BOV, connect the boost line to the top of this BOV, tighten all clamps and call it a day. Easy 5 minute job, right? :D
