grudgematch???

:)

100% gauranteed grudgematch, no doubt.... i am amped!!! i like the chi shakedown meetup, then sema to show, then the supra meet for serious entertainment. how's that sound? o def some strip cruisin for some sweet photo ops too!!!

the current motor that's in my car put down 408hp@4700 and 468tq @4700 w/o the 200 shot nos plate, its a 383 stroker starting w./a 4 bolt 350 and adding a forged eagle rotating assy. its a 10:1 w./flat tops, 2.02 heads w./stainless valves, all arp hardware, gear drive, billet hei, billet 1.6 roller rockers, jet stage 3 carb, custom 7 quart low clearance oil pan w./windage tray and trap door and custom welded pickup, alum vette water pump, billet cloyes timing cover w./timing adj. window, decent roller cam i had laying around, dart II tall valve covers, edelbrock perf rpm intake, mini torque starter, fidanza flex plate, etc... as i said it was built for my '74 z28, so it's a very streetable motor, but it's great for mockup and super fun to fire up w./open headers at parties!!! it should put @550+ on the ground w./the nos it was built for... actually i have some video of that type of drunken debauchery somewhere around here. i also have a commercial that a friend made for my shop that's pretty entertaining and the supra is in. i'll post that stuff as i find it.

the new motor will be a '96 vette lt1 that a friend of mine has for @$600.00, it will have the stock alum heads, intake, throttle body, optical dist. i will be adding two turbos(still need help w./selection)/tial 40mm wastegates/billet tial b.o.v.s, custom ss forward mount turbo manifolds, @3" ss exhaust through flowmasters out the back, everything will be v-band clamped. two custom fab'd gn i/c's that will be side in side out and split down the middle but appear to be one i/c. i plan on a 8:1 forged rotating assy. w./prob. either a th350 or a 4l60e w./a stall and trans brake, i don't think it will weigh enough to need any more trans than that but we'll see. another idea i have is to build a custom de-stroker block in the 250-300 c.i. range down the road and built to spin high rpm's...

here's my car to beat, it's an '89 mustang w./a seriously bottle fed big block, he put down over 1,000hp on my mustang md1100se
p503884_3.jpg

p503884_4.jpg

this is another one i have my eye on but shouldn't be too far fetched, it's a 10 flat big block vega...

The moment either of those two cars pull a wheelie pictures must be posted immediately or ban.

how 'bout both standing on the wheelie bars on the las vegas strip side by side? since they are both built to be streetable i see no problem with this.

ya know two years ago they set that thing up w./those two evo's running an 1/8 mile on the strip, rem that?

i can't believe the praise iv'e gotten on here. everywhere else i go people turn up their noses. you guys are great!!! can't wait to tap all of the vast resourses you guys have!

dude i was reading through that blah blah blah... then LT1 600.... How the hell did u get a LT1 for 600...

the friend of mine that used to be a tech at my shop and sparked this whole project, now works for a place called autoworks, they do nothing but go to auctions and buy salvage vettes and harleys all over the country. so when ya go to their shop it a sea of c4 and newer vettes, tons of drivetrains palletized, and tons of c5 and c6 complete chassis/drivetrains, even zo6 stuff. it's completely sick if not disgusting. anyway lt1 stuff to them is garbage, if ya need one i'll hook ya up, i know they have two more to choose from in that price range, and even an impala iron head motor/trans on the cheap...

on a side note, some small pieces i'm looking for and i'm sure you guys have laying around or are about to throw away are a turbo badged rear tail light trim, a decent stock front spoiler, some grille lights to fit my bumper, fog lights (i have the brackets) a good dash/glove box, steering column trim etc. (iv'e never had them) and some sort of grille badge that denotes the turocharged contents. i like the 2.5 turbo emblem i saw on that sick blue one.

i wanted to do an aluminum fabricated wing w./adjustable struts, i think the chute will look silly just hangin' out by itself...

my shop got it's start in import/performance @'97. my background up to @ 1997 was domestic cars, having grown up arouynd my dad's corvette's and street rods and owning a few camaros and novas. i also did body work for a few years/up to @1999, but hated it. right now we do a little bit of everything i guess... fabrication (mig, tig, plasma, etc) dyno, motor swaps, turbo, nos.... we are definitely getting away from the import motor swaps tho it seems like no one is doing that anymore...

no apparent order whatsoever, but my next few posts should show a little more of the projects beginnings...

motor mounts i fab'd up from some cold rolled 1/2" steel, then tig's w./the amperage up there nice an hot to get some serious penetration. these w./arp hardware should be sufficent. these were fab'd w./the small block in the '91, so we were rudely interrupted when we tranfered plans to the '87, the front cross members were differrent.... so we just switched x-mem's and susp. since the '91 was a way nicer car
p509740_1.jpg

p509740_2.jpg

this is shortly after we got the '87 n/a car home, or at least within' a few days. you can see the '91 turbo car in front of it.
p509740_3.jpg

here is some mock up/temp shots of the 383/th350 in the '91
p509740_4.jpg

fun shot w./ some ceramic coated 2nd gen f body headers
p509740_5.jpg

p509740_6.jpg

p509740_7.jpg

finally put the small block into the '87
p509740_8.jpg

few more shots of it's first days at it's new loving home.
rear, wheels that came w./the car. they were actually 4X4 wheels...
p509740_9.jpg

new wheels/new scoop. aint it great?!!!
p509740_10.jpg

thought you'd like to see that scoop closer
p509740_11.jpg

i know the offset doesn't look optimal, but keep in mind the street tires are 4.5" wider than the track tires
p509740_12.jpg

rear shot, casey playin w./the old hood, there had to be an entire bucket of bondo in that thing. i hope they don't teach that kind of body work at wyotech
p509740_13.jpg

decent detail shot of the engine bay, lots of changes to come
p509740_14.jpg

front wheel, i love the centerline telstars, we were going to go w./weld or whatever random drag wheel everyone has, but when i saw these i absolutely had to have them. the fronts are 15X4"
p509740_15.jpg

this would be the night we got the first cage in the car/test fitting thirsty worker types...
p509740_16.jpg

p509740_17.jpg

look at these freaks... i love 'em
p509740_18.jpg

if you would like just print this and hang it from your rearview mirror, cuz it won't be there long... JK!

ye, the shop we have been in for the past 2 years is 5,000 sq ft and another 1,500 sq ft or so upstairs. it gets pretty packed though when we are busy. but just enough room for two lifts and the dyno... we are remodeling right now for this spring, w./an all new showroom/offices/break room. it will be really nice, and what i always wanted in a shop...

we always have room for miscreants of society, you need to know your way around miller products though... ; )
