Feet and knees together soldier, tuck and roll, TUCK AND ROLL!
Congrats my friend! Im really happy to hear she'll be home! Do a strong, high boost pull in my name!
Hahaha, but the injury wasn't due to training, but to running. On Monday we had our entrance physical fitness test. They do it on the first day to weed people out of the school. I've always have maxed my PT tests, but since I just rejoined in January, I wanted to see what I could really do on the 2 mile run just for shits & giggles. I ran it 11:10, far faster than I was expecting, especially considering that I had just don a 12 mile road march the previous Thursday & I hadn't really recovered for that. After the run, I noticed that I had a slight hamstring pull, so I tried to take it easy, but that's impossible in Airborne School. It's a lot more physically demanding than I thought it would be.
The hamstring kept getting worse & worse, but was still bearable for the most part. I was trying to make it to the weekend so I could rest it & heal up a little, so before the 5 mile run on Friday, I took 3200mg of Motrin to relax it & hopefully avoid further injury. It did, I couldn't feel any pain from the hammy, but I still ran with a hobble. The Motrin worked so well that I could feel the groin muscle pull that was caused by my hobbling run, so I pulled it too. Now I'm in a ton of pain, so much so that I can barely walk & there's not a chance of me running, so unless my shit heals by Monday, I'll have to be recycled into another class when I do heal. :nono: That has me depressed, I've never been injured to the point where I couldn't train....
My car couldn't arrive at a better time, I need a pick-me-up
