We finished installing everything but the emanage and boost control, cranked it over a for a bit to prime the turbo, put the efi fuse in and it started right up. Sounded great. Made sure the brakes and clutch we working ok and took it down the street and back, no problems. First stop was the gas station, the tank was on E. Came back by the shop and gave it a little gas, turbo spooled up great, then pop! A IC pipe on the drivers side (we didn't install that side LOL) had the wrong size clamp and it popped off. Changed that clamp out and took it down the street again, boost came on nice, wastegate opened at what felt like about 7 psi. We need to install all the electronics and get it tuned before we can see what it will do on the dyno. Everything is great so far!

I'm glad you'll have your car when you get back Rakkasan. Now all you'll have to worry about is putting gas in it. I can't wait to see some videos of it. I love 1jz videos as much as I do porn...................ahh hell who am I kidding, but I do love 1jz videos.............:naughty:

As of 10 minutes ago the tach works, oil pressure gauge works, emanage, wideband and boost controller are wired in and the engine is running. The next appointment I could get to dyno it was Monday at 10am, so we are going to try to have it all done and ready to dyno and then take to PJ to finish up the paint details on Mon.

Today I got the wideband and emanage hooked up to two usb to serial adaptors to the laptop. I had to find the software for the emanage online. Now I have the boost controller display showing the afr from the wideband, which is nice because you can monitor the afr without needing an extra gauge or laptop to see it. We installed the catch can and all the vacuum lines for the boost controller and wastegate today. Now we are finally all ready to tune it!

Sweet!! I can't wait for the video. Aaron and Ryan take the best dyno videos. I can't wait to see his newly transformed car. I feel excited for him, knowing that when he gets home it will be ready willing and able.

One question....how is his car getting home? Is Rakkasan flying into Cali and driving it back to Florida, or are you trusting another moving company to do it with that new paint job? Inquiring minds want to know..............:icon_bigg

Brewster, you know Aaron doesn't make housecalls...............:biglaugh:

Oh my, the time has finally come. PLEASE video the dyno time, I'd love to see it. :icon_bigg

As for the wideband displayed on the Profec-EO1, that was the main reason I wanted to go that route. I wanted only one interface in the car, I'm not a big fan of over complicated cockpits. I sold my ACVR so I could get the Profec & tie everything together....

I have to have it shipped back, picking it up isn't an option. Since December, I've transitioned from school to school & I'll continue to do so for at least the next 5 months. I've sleep in my house a grand total of 5 nights since I joined the Army (which is the main reason I turned my car over to Jose & Aaron).

If you've installed a rear main seal on a 1jz before, you should be able to look at this pic and see why it was leaking oil badly. :icon_wink
