well sence you new guys dont know who lam is, ill fill you in, first off the Supra thing making it a ferrari was a sort of a funny joke (one day lam, one day), Lam owns a total of 3 MKIIIs. and he doesnt give a shit what you think. he has some of the cleanest MKIIIs i have seen, they all run better and are taken care of better than some of the members on this forum.

Hi, before people get all amp up just let me give you and idea of who I am.

I moved to the United states in 1990 when I was ten. Living down south in Mississippi for 5 year going through all the racist shit you could imagine.
Moved to CT in 1995 and my dad bought an mk2 83 and my uncle bought me my first supra 86 mk2.

Two years later I hit a tree and save up enough money to buy the 89 Targar 5spd turbo supra my dream car.

Supra has been in my family for a long time. My father 83 blew up so we bought a 240sx. Then my uncle bought the 91 turbo.

Then a friend of mine fell asleep and hit a tree so I bought the 87 supra N/A all fucked up for $150 and fixed it up. Currently we all share cars so basically I owned all 3 supras and a 240sx.

I’m poor so owning a Ferrari is just a dream. Working my ass off I started to get people to notice my car by changing the appearance because who wouldn’t want to be notice around town.

Started the lamarossa project to look like a Ferrari because I wanted to drive and own a Ferrari after my neighbor took me for a ride in his 355 spyder.

No doubt when I’m in the driver seat with 300hp and roaring exhaust feels like a 355 with boost. And the amount of attention I get is crazy.

Yeah most people are stupid but whats wrong with getting comments like “nice car” “Nice Ferrari” from everyone that I happen to pulled up at a light or gas station.

Yeah my car looks like ass to some of you but I must be doing something right.

Got Ferrari emblems because I’m sick of people asking me if it is a Probe or a Honda hehehehheh and if I fly by you trust me my cars got Ferrari 355 gts written all over it that is if u don’t post on this forums lol.

Yeah it don’t look like a ferrari blah blah blah I fool a shit load of peeps cause not everyone drive a supra in my town like on this forums duh.

I like to be different because I got 3 supras and they all look, sound, and feel different when you are behind the wheel.

Especially when I’m at the Friday hangout and everyone got mk3 with mk4 rims which is fuc*ing boring looking to me because everyone got basically the same fu*king car.

I didn’t say that they don’t look good but c’mon even every civics looks a lil different.

Many people only look at the bad part of my car but not the good shit.

Tell me my head lights mod ain’t hot. Tell me my tails aren’t original. Some of you have never seen my car in real life.

I basically took a $4500 car and make it look exotic because even BMW and Mercedes drivers would weave in and out of traffic to get next to me to see what the hell I’m driving.

And that’s is the coolest feeling in the world when I’m looking over and have the biggest grine on my face because I’m about to blow their ears off with my loud ass BOV.

I’m proud to be behind the wheel of the lamarossa cause face it a lots of people who know me respect me and most of you ain’t got shit on me.

LOL, you sound like you are practiced at saying that. You can say -- and many people do it all of the time -- that on the whole, this is the general way people are from this group or that group. For example, there is a very big difference of how people are (on average) from one state to another. I say that all of the time too. So have many others.

And you don't have to be into mechanics or have a love for turning wrenches to be a fan of cars. I used to lay my life on the line to ride my bike on some of my favorite roads. Can you tell me that I was not a true bike fan just because I really don't like working on them? I doubt it! Just because those Ferrari guys don't work on their cars, does not mean that they aren't true car fans. Many times to have the money to be able to afford such luxuries as a supreme machine as a Ferrari, one would need to be VERY dedicated to their profession. Most of the sucessful people I have met in my personal life don't have time to mess around with cars because of the time that higher education and their careers demand of them.

While cool great you enjoy what you did to your ride and like how it looks. but it is still rice. If it was just a clean yellow mk3 with out the side crap, with out the ferrari bages/wheels/steering wheel, airvents, ect ect.. just a normal mk3 w/ a body kit... it would be every clean.

Thats probably because you took a nice looking car and spent about $200 at homedepot on heater vents a hot glue gun and some spray paint to create something that i personally think is tacky. The supra looks great in stock form. But thats my opinion... Why don't you just join a ferrari forum, may be they'll respect it, but I doubt it. Save your money for a real ferrari and stop molesting the supra...

Why do I stick up for him and others? Because I know the truth: people look for weak people to pick on, or ones that will not say anything in return. So they flock towards them. I can think of two cars that are even more not my style, but no one ever says anything about them. Why, because they are not viewed as easy prey, that is why. IMO, most of the people that run around bashing others on the forums are not contributors to what the sites were really set up for. Do you know of any Ferrari owners? How many? Do you have grounds to make such a statement? I don’t think so and I don’t wish for you to waste my time with moot arguments.

And did I say that about adrenaline? And did I say it exactly like that? I don’t remember. But I based it on what many, many others would agree with. Have you ever even raced both sportscars and superbikes? Can you speak from experience? I have made my statement on what the vast majority of folks I know would say. Based on the hundreds of people I know that I have ridden with in the past, many of which also have sports cars. I think I have some basis and think that I am not alone on what I said originally.

Credibility? To explain himself to a bunch of bashers? What a waste of time that is. What a waste of time that I have to explain it here as well. I already said that he wanted it locked. It is in my post above. If he won’t follow up with the threads that he makes, he should not be making lots of them. I already IM’d him about that. This thread’s purpose was to say, “I am always getting bashed by the MKIII guys, yet the guys with cars that retail for $140,000 USD don’t even give me flak.” OK, fine. Thread’s purpose is done. Who cares at this point? -- other than you and the other bandwagon jumpers. It should be locked up and not have people saying shit and testing how far they can go which in return creates an overall harsh environment here.

To make this post because of what I know to be true, I now don’t have time to be on this site today for the real reason why I joined up: to exchange car tech info. Some others are here to talk about shit that does not matte though and argue about shit that they really should not care about.

Thread should be locked, and Lam should understand that making these all the time is not good for this site, and that no good will come out of them. There are other reasons why I posted, about being consistent with policy. Someone once got banned because they had a Lam obsession, I don’t think it to be fair that we change our outlook on that and now all of the sudden allow anyone to bash him to no limit.

I want to thank some of the members on this site for being the real mods, while some in charge came for arguments and entertainment.

To be honest with you, it really is not my style. I have my own opinions and I have never said that I liked it. To be honest with you, for all you know, it is possible to be even further than what my idea of what the perfect Supra would look like, than your idea. My idea of the perfect Supra maybe even more different than his car than what yours may be. I, as many, just think that bashing on a guy's car really serves no purpose. I just think we should be more tolerant to others and really, there are lots of cars that are not my style, yet I have never bashed anyone's ride or ever had a need to. I just focus on what I like rather than what I don't.

This one guy in SF asked the the forum what they thought of this kit on eBay. Now he was a pure newbie. So he had no reputation at all and was an unknown. Next thing you know, someones comes out and tests him out, then another, then the thread became a bashing thread, and he was polite the whole time. I later seen him in the for sale section. He needed to buy a head. I told him that his head may indeed be good, as he had little tech knowledge. I told him he could IM if he wanted more info or if he had any further Q's. So he did. All the questions he had he could have asked in the forum, but he did not because of his experience there. So because people got on his case for being different, he built the engine on his own without the help of the forum. All those that bashed him never would have been the ones to help him, yet to him, they represented all of that site. I hope the hour I spent with him on IM was enough to help him with his car, but I know it must have been a struggle being on his own doing that job -- I don't even know if he ever finished it, because he never came back. I hope their cheap laughs were worth it to them, that he had to do the the job on his own with no support from the forum.
