Good luck Dave!!! I know you can do it :)

So does the wax hold it's shape just long enough to cool down the metal in position? Or is there something else involved? do you have a positive and negative wax mold?

Great build thread Milo. I spent all day reading this thing. :aigo: Makes me really wanna tear my MKIII apart and rebuild it! Good luck with the remainder.

Why is it duct taped to a hand saw and sitting on a hub cap?

looks like he used that to properly cure the wax in that position without warping or anything.

nice work! :)

what metal will you use? aluminum? My dad is a sculptor I bet if i needed to do this i could! well...not easily or nicely but with practice, maybe!

The wax is burned out and replaced with metal.

I was smearing wax inside. The saw was the first thing I found that would work. By heating the saw blade, the wax releases right away.
