I want to know just exactly how he plans to make the mold for the ffim. i know how lost wax casting works I'm just interested in how he's going to do the interior passages?

I missed my chance to cast this semester. Hopefully I will get the wax done over the break, so I can cast it in late January.

BSG, if you had preimpregnated sand to use for the interior passages that could work. Otherwise I'd use the factory lower runners and cast just the upper main runner and attach the two. That might be more doable.

not to worry. We have that knocked up sand of which you speak, but I can do the ceramic shell. It will be fun getting it all out, but it's doable.
I think normally they use a vibrateing table or tool to knock the sand out. You coud use lost foam technique instead. That might be easier to work with.
