I had 13.5 adv @ 21psi / 5500 rpm, I havent touched timing control as I am clueless and dont want to f@ck it all up. I dont really know what I should have where as far as timing advance, and I can find very little info.

Um, I think there are some wires that HAVE to be cut for proper install, can I
get a checkup from someone who has installed?

Jeff
No wires cut if you are running speed density mode (like me). If you are running through a MAF or using a SAFC there may be other wiring instructions.

Well Chris, you and I are not alone in this tuning circle-jerk. Still haven't plugged mine in since I have talk to you. Change stuff in the pro and it still runs way to rich, all hell, you know the story. I'll be waiting in the wings for some solutions.

Call ya later,

Wayne

Chriso:
if you look at your initial settings, you will see Freq OUT Mode (wish gives you the option for supra... then you will see Freq In Mode which gives you the option for "0: no Maf connected". Please look over your settings and tell me if you see this?

PT Tracking - not using but this is what I tried
Idle TPS .44
Idle RPM 1088
Idle A/F 13.9
Cruise TPS 1.90
Cruise RPM 2208
Cruise MAP 91.0
Cruise A/F 14.5
Lean Delay 5.0
Gain 5.0
Lean A/F 15.0

I am running and idling and cruising fine, not much to complain about other than boost creep, which Mike has had the same prob and gave up on the boost control. I think it may have to do with the gain, when I get time I will tweak some more. I hold real close to 11.5 at wot in 1/4 mile, it creeps a little leaner at 6000+ so I will richen that up. My main issues I had were b/c which I am almost good now, The throttle response used to suck ass, but its great now with 4.65, I havent used timing control, and wont til i see what other people do and whats safe. I occasionally hit fuel cut under certain conditions, passing on highway mostly, never in a straight 1/4 mile pull. I do get a little lean idle miss under hotter conditions in closed loop when a/f is leaner than ~ 14.5. I dont believe thats a maft pro issue, it did it b4, but Id like to tune it out, even though it wont hurt any thing. I will post this in your FAQ thread also Mike. These settings would not benefit someone to copy unless the same setup, but at least we can look at each others and say "hey, why do you have that , what did it do for you". Start helping each other out, I have been frustrated at times I admit, but I still love it.

Exactly !!!!! Thank God !!! I have been trying to get some of us guys running this to compare our settings for over a month so we can get some of the common issues ironed out. And, Yes, I know we all have slightly different setups and the settings will reflect that but at least we can see a rhyme or reason for them. Thanks so much guys for all the help. I am finally getting somewhere with mine. I went out last night and did some highway pulls with some of the setting changes that you guys recommended and I was impressed with the performance. (Maybe I won't flush $600 down the toilet). Anyway, I will post some logs later on today since I still have a lot of adjusting to do but at least it looks like I am finally getting somewhere.

Tookwik, I still notice a wicked miss around the 2500RPM mark (but it is not consistent) and I noticed a lot of threads regarding that issue lately but not all guys having it are running the Pro.

Supralover, I will check my settings today that you are recommending.

You guys are awesome.

Yes, you are correct Mike, When you say "run better", in what way do you mean?

ya, i think those settings are just for response, maybe i can use that for fattening up my idle, and maybe t/b size since i hve the q45?

edit...my bad, disp is not in throttle response!

is your 32psi psi static ??
Static?
My fp is set at 34 running (idle). I set it higher according to the TSRM (jumpers on with engine off - iirc) to somewhere around 38 I think. It seems to be holding steady. I have a Megan Racing AFPR which seems to be working fine but will eventually go with an Aeromotive when the funds allow.

chris... with engine running. pull vac line off, cap it, set your "STATIC" fp, put vac line back on
