I wouldn't put anything on my car that says Cobra on it. The GT mustangs have PBR's on them but they fit on a much smaller 11" rotor not like the Mach 1 and the Cobras.

This is a great kit and will only work with the parts that Doward is using, so if you want to buy the rings you can and they will work for the rotors but the brackets are for the calipers that Doward is using not a universal for all calipers.

Doward, call the place that I sent you and see if the numbers match. There are a couple of sites you can match the numbers off of.

hah - for anyone not understand what IJ is saying - PBR is based in Australia. They make a large majority of the high performance OEM brake systems ;)

ive never heard of pbr, how are they quality wise?
thanks

Lol at first i was gonna ask when Pabbst beer started making brakes...Then it hit me:slap:. My GTO has those brakes, and for a 3500lbs car, they will hang very well with the Brembos of the Sti's.

I'm really interested in this setup. It's nice to finally have a job and money after 4 years of school.

I don't have sound right now so I couldnt listen to the videos. I see it will clear 17" wheels but will they fit under 16" wheels? It doesn't look like they will and I know I should really upgrade but I'd really like to keep my oem wheels. I could always get the MKIV but I don't really want to. Maybe they would fit 16s with a spacer? But it might be hitting the wheel.

Anyways, I'd appreciate you letting me know. thanks

Yeah, sorry, I looked at it and it didn't make sense, so I changed it. Tire size doesn't make as much difference as tire construction. Two tires, one a slick, the other a POS H rated tire, which one is going to get better traction?

If anything, going to larger wheels actually HURTS handling, as the rotation mass is out farther on the wheel applying more leverage.

Think about what tire sizes are available for 16" rims and 17" rims. I never hear of Supra owners getting wider than stock rims in a 16" rim (except maybe for a aet of drag slicks). Everyone buys a 17" rim when they are looking for a better set of wheels that give them more traction. Look at Indy cars. They all run 16" rims with massive sidewalls. The ideal rim size is 17" for every application except for drag racing since the 17" rim offers the best wheel and tire selection of any performance wheel or tire on the market.

I think that looks right, but I just woke up. I'll edit it if I'm wrong.

No, these won't clear sawz - I tried :)

Grrr... I'm still waiting to get the rest of my quotes back before I officially open the GB!

Ok, just got off the phone - we're looking at early next week before I get the rest of my quotes.

In other news, is anyone interested in having me powdercoat the brackets? If so, what colors are you guys thinking?

Black or grey would be fine, IMHO. I don't think it can really be seen anyway.

Flash and glam is for ricers anyway :D

lol - I have a couple different colors available to me. I've got cast iron grey, mirror black (really hi gloss) and silver right now. I'll probably grab a couple more colors if enough people request them.

Somebody post pics of these Orange Brembo colors :)

Enraged, I did! I've just been tied up with everything going on. I've got work, school, AND running my own business on the side of all of this ;)

I've got a waterjet here in Central Florida, and that's the way I'm hoping to go. The prices are pretty good, too - but I found out yesterday there was a mixup in materials cost - they had me listed for 1018 steel, and I wanted 4140!
