Haha..... I forgot about that knob. haha....well....it wasn't for me. I'm glad your enjoying it though!

Let's just put it this way.

Different people prefer different things, some people find a short shifter with drag racing harder than others. Doesn't means it's better or worse :)

I love it, because you can unscrew it, loosen the screw holding the plastic threader in place, pull it out, and turn it, and it'll sit higher than usual, by about an inch and a half. So after install my short-throw, I'm going to raise the knob to look stock...

And I have the obligatory TRD shiftknob in my 92, and some unknown OEM in the 86.5..
