I really can't make up my mind on a shift knob for my car. Looking for unique, different, and cool ideas. The only shift knob I have been happy with is the TRD shift knob right from Toyota, but the car being a daily driver for the most part, the leather wore down in one summer.

Let see pictures of those shift knobs and leather combo's!

Mine was a DD and mine lasted a few years (it's still in perfect shape but the car is parked). What did you do to it? :aigo:

What short shifter kit is that? I'm using the Beech Performance one, however; even in neutral, my shift knob appears all the way forward rather than centered like yours.
Thats the sogi short shifter at its best. it was free, so it is best

The TRD shift knob is the best IMHO, You on the SOGI shifter or aftermarket?

Missed shifts, getting locked out of gears. Common for all cars with short shifters.

I don't think so. A properly made short shifter does not do this. Hence car's from factory like the STi or S2000 that have short shifters as standard and people make use of them quite well without error. That's of course if your a good driver like myself. Ask Fonz..... he knows what I'm capable of.

I agree with you but I was mainly talking about aftermarket shifters.

For street use they're great; but from what I hear from the drag racers, they're not a good idea.
