Is your entire interior black?!
I've always wanted the non leather velvet like interior all black

Yep.

I actually do have the JDM suede/leather rears.

The matching fronts were trashed so I had to go with the original all leather.

Got both off of ebay around 5 years ago. Scored the backs off of JARCO and got lucky with the fronts from some low feedback seller through a "buy it now" auction. And yes, it is one of the nicer interiors out there.

What short shifter kit is that? I'm using the Beech Performance one, however; even in neutral, my shift knob appears all the way forward rather than centered like yours.

Hard to give a review when the car doesn't start yet. However, I installed a BIC trans and BIC engine brace along with the Beech short shifter and damn is it a tight shift! All it takes is a quick flip of the wrist to throw it through the gears. I can't wait to try it out for real.

Not sure what short shifter I have but it's exactly how you describe it, each throw is just wrist movement.
Your shifter may be on backwards. I put mine on backwards and had the same problem, Going into 1,3,5 I was almost punching my dash.

Short shifter definitely isn't installed backwards. And the shifter moves so little when going into each gear that you couldn't possibly tell whether it was in 3rd or neutral by looking at it. Since it barely moves, I am nowhere near hitting the radio, but it sure does look weird leaning so far forward in neutral.

turbo87targa's shifter seems to suffer from the same issue as mine. Wonder what short shifter kit he's running? If it's a Beech as well, I guess that's just the way they are?

I'm not 100% but that looks alot like my shifter does, my car had the short throw when I bought it and at the time I was more focused on what was done in the motor rebuild, not the shifter.

MarkIII4me: I see what you mean now. Could it be the height that makes it look that way? Yours and mine seem a bit taller...other than that I don't see why they look so far foreward
