Fix that oil filter before you run it anymore or you wont be running for long.
Looks like it was just the fittings that were leaking, they were pretty loose. I still need to tighten up one of the ones underneath the turbo, but I can't get any turns out of it.

Holllllllller!
It's alive.
There was coolant in my spark plug holes that I had to suck out from that hose that popped off.
Still leaking oil though, just took it a couple miles around my house and back, hella wiring problems too.
Whatever though, the engine part and everything fucking pulls HARD!

Like Nate has already mentioned...if it is a fresh build, take it easy on it or you will be doing another build thread sooner than you want.

Glad to hear the thing is running man post up some pics of the end product.

Like the others said , "settle down beavis" You dont want to end up looking for a 4th motor before you have a chance to break this one in.

Kyle, glad to hear it's all good... Or at least getting there! :)

As the others have said: TAKE IT EASY!!!!!

A guy here spent 12 months on his build, to have it fk up 12 hours after starting..... Don't want to see this happen to you, you've put too much effort in!!!!! :)

Everyone has a different theory on how to break in engines.

your right, but only good builders are still building relible engines and still running their old one.

not replacing the old one.

change the filter and oil with in 5 hours of running the engine (of run time)

take her easy and dont boost! you dont want to force the rings to seat, only time i would do this is if i had a race engine and needed it for the next heat, not the next year or decade,

they call it break in cause if you messed up these is where it's gona break, also gives the rings time to evenly seat to the cylinder wall, and every thing to heat cycle, at about 500 miles or close to 1-2 weeks of driving, you might want to go over head gasket retorque, valve covers, check the front pully, engines mounts and downpipe bolts,

i hope your easy on her for atleast a month of daily driving, do your best to put alot of easy miles on her and change oil as it darkens you will see as your rings seat the oil takes longer and longer to get dirty.

in a month or two i'll like to see some 1/4 mile times up man! maybe some dyno numbers,

Love the wagon!

Whooooooops.
Thanks for the compliment on the wagon.
I discovered that I have some stripped holes on the head of it on the exhaust manifold holes, and that my exhaust system was pretty much toast. On top of that my battery wasn't mounted properly at one point and was sliding around and got punctured, so I had to get a new one.
So,
I'm going to be getting some short headers for it, which are on the way, got a new battery, and I think I might hold off on the head situation till I get a new engine.

As for the supra, fixed the oil leaks, as far as I know, found a small coolant leak somewhere at the back of the head, and got the dash out to try and figure out what the hell is up with my dash and other electrical shit. and I ordered some adapters for my prosport gauges.

So the whole green mica thing is postponed for now?

Hows that engine running?
Green mica isn't going to happen.
I think I'm going to repaint the car white, like it was, and probably end up selling it and getting a cleaner supra.
Engine is running great, for the one time I drove it, and idled it. I haven't started it since, I'm trying to figure out what the fuckkkkkkkkk is going on with my wiring

Just got off the phone with old man Shawn (local mk2 guy that does a lot of 7m swaps into mk2's around here) and he thinks it might be a relay, and he's going to check out his wiring books and get back to me later tonight.

So much controversy in this thread :biglaugh:

Congrats on the good progress Kyle, just don't get ahead of yourself :)
Take it slow, if you ever get frustrated stop working (thats one of the best lessons I've ever learned). Just give yourself time to iron out all the bugs before you drive the beast!
