Not much of anything going on, I've been at the hospital for the most part the last couple of days, my grandpa is dying.
I got paid.
Wondering whether I should just take the engine in as it is right now to the shop and have them do everything or take it apart myself and bring it in.
Radiator came, I'll get a picture of that sooner or later.

Here's to hoping your build goes as well as mine...but that your end result is far better.

Keep in mind that I may in fact be doing a part out, or maybe just a partial part out (aftermarket for stock parts trade out). If that comes to pass I'll give ya fist shot at the good stuff.

Thanks weez.
I'm sad to see the way things have gone with your supra, I hope to see you still active and possibly get another supra down the road, as well as I hope to see you back up here in the pacnw very soon.
I appreciate you giving me a first grab at the parts. I'll definitely be all over it if you do, I got plenty of upgrades I need to do.

Thank you luis,
we will make it to suprafest, it's my goal as well.

Just FYI, my grandpa did pass away today. In his sleep, after we all left to go out to lunch. He lived a long 89 years, and a good 89 years at that. He was a good man and I shall miss him.

Lookin good Kyle!! Glad to see you're getting your hands dirty!! :biglaugh: FWIW, take the whole thing apart before taling it to the machine shop...that way you can take pics of the carnage. Not just that...but I won't take a machine shop's word on what's wrong...just figure it out and them tell them what you want done. Opinions!!! Geeezzzz!!

I'd definitely like to tear it apart myself mark, but at this point, I just don't want to cart it all to the machine shop. I'd rather just give them the long block, tell them what happened and what I want done.

I should be getting a very hefty check on the 15th from my old job (last day monday, thank god) and I'm not sure when I get paid from toyota, but it should be sometime soon after that, I think we're running on a weekly pay?
So hopefully things will get rolling very soon here and I'll start purchasing some shit. Still need quite a bit of stuff.
Oh, May 22nd is the court day as well for my front end, so hopefully that gets settled fast and I can get my car painted.

I may have located a new engine and tranny down in Texas for a smokin deal...
Waiting for the shipping company to get back to me on a quote and then I'll be talking to my parents about borrowing some more money, haha.

Well
Anyone know an approximate weight of an engine, and tranny. That includes, head, manifolds turbo, and tranny (all assembled, so including clutch and stuff too)
I guessed somewhere around 700 for the shipping quote.
Anyone got anything more precise?

Damn.
It's been 10 days.
Well,
I've been holding off till it was official and it's good enough for me now:

block bored over .40
wiseco pistons and rings
eagle rods
clevite bearings
polished and balanced crank
new seals and gaskets
titan motorsports 2mm headgasket
all new toyota valvetrain
na cams
stock turbo and manifold
mild port and polish on the cylinder head
brand new 6 puck clutch
fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel
tranny with 65k miles

here are some pics.....

coming up from Texas from a guy named mk3_tx off supraforums.
2g's, plus shipping.
;)
I'm a little excited...
