3/8" tools and head bolts is not right.
You need to get a real set.:)

Unfortunitely with ARP Headstuds, the only way to get enough clearance in the head is with a 3/8" 14mm 12 sided deep socket!

QFT
I need to go return my 1/2in drive 12 sided 14mm I just bought, I figured I'd test it and see if it fits, noppppppe. Gunna need a new adapter.
I nubbed it and figured I'd drain the coolant out of the engine by tipping it a little bit into a pan, HAHA! I forgot how much the engine weighs, anddddddd of course it turn it self over and scratched the area right ABOVE my penis! I got scared, I didn't want to lose my manhood.
I bought a like 18 in breaker bar and I need to go return/exchange my 1/2 drive 14 I bought for an adapter. Not today though, gotta go to work.

hehe,
I did a couple things in between the few hours i posted.

The shell is looking dirty and lonely sitting in the gravel spot it sleeps in for now. May 22nd I have hearing for what the fuckers at the clutch shop did to my front end and I'll hopefully be getting a decent amount of money after that which will go towards paint.

happy bday fucker! lol pound those a holes at the shop. if they messed up more paint thats all over the car then you might be able to get them to cover a whole car paint job.

also, if you have to use 3/8 14 to get those head studs out what do you use for a torque wrench to tighten? do you use a 1/2 to 3/8? last time i did that it snapped.. and im having issuees right now cuz i cant retorque my head. :(

^^ I've always (as if i've done it more times than I can count on my hands lol) just used a craftsman 1/2->3/8 adaptor, never broken a single one, or the deep socket I use!

Good luck at toyota Kyle!!

Yeah, I think I'm just going to go get a 3/8 breaker bar and get a craftsman adapter later down the road for my torque wrench.
Yeah, if you couldn't tell by my difficulties with mine, you don't need to retorque ;)

Thanks man.
I hope it's a good one...

Me too!
That'd be nice! I'd really appreciate it.
I just need lots and lots of money to get the ball rollin.
I should be making a decent amount in the next month or so with paychecks still rollin in my from my old job and I'm going to be working toyota too.
And birthday,
and hearing in may,
and hopefully I can find some miscellaneous photo jobs here and there for some extra cash.

UPDATE:
Got that god damn headbolt loose, NAPA auto parts are FTW. I'm about to go out and work on it for a little while.
I didn't get much done earlier, Eddie was welding up a bozo exhaust for the wagon to replace my blown out muffler. Pictures soon! It's beast.
Already got cops after it, RIGHT after we finished and drove it a couple hundred feet to our buddy's house and parked, a cop rolls buy, flips a bitch and waits for us to leave (we were standing outside of the car looking at the new exhaust.) He sat there for like 10 minutes, we went inside, he rolls by and up a block and turns around and WAITS EVEN MORE! Srsly nothing better to do, like fighting crime, what they're supposed to be paid to do.
