Thanks, yeah I did. In the rona. Were you there? I wasn't outside chatting much, eating with tony and yarden and a couple other people, and then it got kinna shitty and my girlfriend wanted to leave so we jetted out.

Took a couple things off today, I just can't figure out how to break some bolts loose on the rear of the engine, not sure what to call it, flywheel or what. I think it might be the flywheel? I'm not too familiar with the clutch system and the parts of it. I'll take a picture later.
I'm pretty sure I need it off to get it on the engine stand though...
I got the wiring harness all out and the intake manifold(s) off and the fuel rail, turbo as well.

Heheh, that would be the flywheel, best way is with a impact gun!!!

Depends on how far you've stripped the block, if you don't have a impact gun you might need to block the rotating assembly from turning so you can get enough leverage

Got the flywheel off ;)
My dad held down the front while I broke the bolts loose.
So, I bolted the rotating/holder for the engine stand onto the block, but I could only get 3 mounting points to work out. I'm not sure if that will be okay or not to hold it... I'll get some pictures up here soon.

intake manifold(s) off.

I'll be cleaning the turbo up a bit before installation. Tony had pointed out a couple spots that he thought some of the oil might have been going, and I think the oil return line into the block was definitely one, it was pretty loose.

pwneddddddddd clutch.

Now, onto the real question, is this okay to mount up? Please look it over and let me know what I did wrong.

Flywheeeeeeeeel

The rona deserves a little attention too!

I wouldn't mount the engine like that Kyle, it's possible to use all four with that kinda stand, just tricky at first! IIRC the bottom two arms need to slide all the way up to get everything lined up

Keep up the good work :)

Engine is on the stand, all four mounting points connected and good to go. Gotta start cleanin out the garage now! :)
Pictures in a little bit.

make sure you get a new flywheel. post a few pictures. those were some nappy looking cracks which prolly helped kill your clutch. i dont think you will be able to resurface it again...

uhmmmmmmm.
You should all probably use ARP hardware,
that shit is indestructible. I just broke a 1/2in to 3/8 adapter and a socket wrench trying to bust just one of them loose. (headbolts, fyi.)
Impact gun?
haha, shittttt. I was using probably about 3 ft of extra bar for leverage. Pwned.
Anyways, manifolds, timing cover, thermostat housing, cam covers are off, and a couple headbolts are loose, I'm done for tonight after breaking those tools.
