Cost effective and very good.

The Permacool dual port, dual filter head will be fine...as will the oil adapter for the block. You'll need to get a NA filter stud (it's 3/4-16)...get the filter head and adapter to use this thread to since it's stock. Nice thing about ports on both sides is the flexibility and you can use a left over port for an oil temp sensor in the future:

Fluid dynamics 101 ;)

The fluid will follow the path of least resistance so in a dual you'd need matched filters or it'd just bypass the more restrictive one.

I think the layout of the dual adaptor would contribute to this even with matched filters.
