We have to wait a whole year before we get to see your car though Johnathan.......This years calendar really looks good. She does a good job of them.

I've got mine on your car right now, since date's don't mean that much to me. If it's sunny outside, I either go to work or go play golf. If it's raining, I stay home and watch CSI..........:biglaugh:

damn, I really didn't know about any calendar

I bought Johnathan's car for 5.5k, I think I got a little bit ripped because there was a bucket load of stuff wrong with it, which, I'll give Johnathan the benifit of a doubt and say that he didn't know, but the whole entire rear end was really messed up, the rear diff was almost completely gone (open diff-like) the rear wing bolts were broken and the steeering rack was leaking bad and also broken.........the clutch was almost dead..........clutch master cylinder leaked............clutch slave cylinder took a dump.........brake master cylinder leak............massive amount of blowby in the intake.........POS BOV he put in was rediculous and the pipe was also leaking.....................the wheel was leaking air so it had to be refurbished.........what else..........oh, heater hose is not present, so the heater does not work.......piston rings are really worn.......slight rod knock.................

yes, it is that bad, I could not really believe that I actually bought this car for 5.5k, Johnathan was a cool guy, and I really thought, with all the rep he had on this forum, that his car would be swell..........however, it wasn't, just goes to show you how much misinformation there could be from a guy who you think takes good care of his car, and then it turns out to be a total nightmare

now the car is finally getting the REAL care that it deserves, I put in a whole new front and rear subframe, rebuilt the diff, bought a car1 steering rack......and in the process of doing a jz swap so that I don't have to deal with the bs he has made in the car.............

seriously, I bought my NA for 800$ and it drives better with no problems.........pft

Let me be the first to say that when you buy a car, you should always check it out to the best of your ability. Any problems it has after you sign on the dotted line are now your responsibility. It is not the seller's responsibility to tell you about a cars problems. To that effect, I was VERY helpful to you when you bought my car, and I told you everything that I knew, and supplied you with a HUGE stack of receipts (more than an inch thick) of service records, and countless dealer invoices for new parts. I put more than 10k into that car from the time that I bought it in 2005. Ask anyone who is subscribed to this thread, I have taken excellent care of this car. So what I got for it when I sold it to you was just a drop in the bucket! Not to mention all of my time and labor.

More than half of the problems you listed, the car did NOT have when I owned it. I can only assume that you and your need for a "700+ hp 7M" (which is what you said you wanted to achieve) caused the problems it now has. My car NEVER had rod knock, blowby, or a leaky turbo. I guess though, that now none of that matters, since it's your word against mine at this point. The problems it had, I TOLD you about. You really didn't seem too concerned about them, either.

I think what really happened was that you installed a fuel computer (may or may not have upgraded the fuel system) and cranked the boost up with a boost controller that you installed almost immediately after you bought it...thinking it had a MHG. I TOLD YOU that it does not have a metal head gasket, and that I had replaced it with a stock one from the dealer. It was fine for me for almost 20k miles, and I told you that if you LEAVE it alone and drive it (apparently 300rwhp isn't enough) it will last a long time. You chose to fuck with it, and try to make a ton of horsepower. Don't say I didn't tell you so. I really wish I hadn't sold my car to a ricer tool such as you...but unfortunately you were the first one to come along with the cash, so what's done is done.

I really don't want to argue with you, but I don't appreciate you posting in my thread, trying to make me look like a villian, and ruin my reputation. I have done nothing wrong.

I got your back Johnathon, and I've reported Tajabaho1's post. This matter should have been taken care of privately and not on the public forum. Yes, it is fully up to the buyer to inspect the vehicle. This is why some shops offer a buyers inspection which is always paid for by the buyer (as was the case recently with the sale of my Camry). Unless a used car is sold with a warranty (which this Supra wasn't), it is sold as-is. Meaning once you pay for the vehicle and sign the bill of sale and title, any existing problems the vehicle has that the buyer didn't notice is on the buyer and not the seller. If Johnathon had lied about the vehicle saying for example that it has a MHG as was a rebuilt motor, that would be one thing and Johnathon would be resposible, but this is not the case. Any problems the car has now is fully on you the buyer and not on Johnathon the seller.

Thanks, Adam. Though that probably wasn't necessary since it will probably get my thread locked. I would love to hear what he has to say in response to my post, but he will more than likely just go silent from this point.

Seems like there are very few people out there who realize what it actually means to buy a used, 20 year old car out there. Everyone wants something that has no problems, and is perfect in every way. If there is a problem with it, or something is broken, it's suddenly somehow the owner's fault. Ugh, if you want a new car, go to your local Toyota dealer!

This is really a shame that what was once a nice car is being torn apart for a "jz swap", which will likely never be finished and the car never returned to as nice of condition as it once was...
