I've had zero problems. Looking at my 88 manual I see an actuator located below the cold start injector. I would assume that this is what you mean. Once again, never any problems. I've had the intake apart as I had RC Engineering open up my throttle body 3mm. I port matched it to the intake and did some polishing inside. Also I run water injection and my nozzle is tapped into the intake. I've heard that the NA intake distributes the air a little better than the Turbo intake. I did the origional Turbo install back in the early 90's and let me tell you there was very little knowledge or experience to be found concerning these cars back then. There is an MSD ignition box tucked up underneath the drivers side headlight also. I'm leaning towards a Maft-Pro and Speed Density at this time. The AFM is my only restriction. I did open the AFM internally as large as possible and the entire inside is polished to a 600 grit finish. That modification and the throttle body really enhanced the response.
