Mine rusts at the rear driver side fender because of a leaking hatch seal, but the most of the rust was located under the nose. That's right, the logo is a water leak and after about 18 years the whole metal piece underneath the nose cone has turned to rust

I'm now having a new piece of metal welded in, and i'm having the logo and water spray holes removed

I have a thin coating of surface rust in about half the hatch area. I just got new taillight gaskets and I'll be nixing all the rust in the hatch this spring with rustoleum.

Other than that, I have no rust... that I know of yet.

My passenger side door, front driver's side arch and both rear arches need a seeing to, but structurally it's as solid as they come.

Have you looked behind the plastic pannels infront of the rear wheels?? I had to cut out a lot of rust there and weld in fresh metal. I have the standard rusty rear arches (only light surface rust) but appart from that its pretty solid.

I've got rust under the trim on the passenger door as well as passenger front fender I can see through in a couple of spots and rust on the passenger quarter panel. plus random rock chips. Man I wish my car wasn't from the coast. Atleast I can just replace the front fender.


really need to find a winter car.

my 91 NA has zero rust
my 91 turbo is a twisted pile of shit, was wrecked, got it for parts
my 89 NA has next to none
my 88 turbo has 1 spot, where some dickhead kicked it and dented it
my 86.5 has a couple of rust spots around the body
my other 86.5 (that i got from Ben) has virtually no hatch from the rust, parts car FTW.

I think thats all of them...

Passenger side rear quarter panel. About the size of a quarter, and maybe 4 or 5 small libeads along the roof of the car where it meets the windshield. Not leaking tho,

Nope, but my AE86 does, so if you have rust, I feel your pain.

(EDIT: Yeah, I'll have spent about $9000 on rust repair on the AE86 once all is said and done. Gay).

my jdm car has a couple of minor spots, as its been in the uk for 8 years now, a lot of supras look fantastic on the outside but under the rear wheel well trims the are rusting and or holed.
