thats a nice turbo.

some have asked about the gt42. i sell those for 970.

any other prices you guys would like just let me know. i have better deals on the gt turbos vs the pt turbos fwiw. i also have references if that would make anyone feel better.

take care

Well, I have an offer for a used *500 miles on the rebuild* ITS 74mm Q series DBB turbo for $1250...

http://www.innovativeturbo.com/page....asp?sku=GT74BB

But buying a used turbo makes me nervous... I bought a CT26 60-1 that was used, and it lasted MAYBE 500 miles before it started blowing oil...

look around.. i just bought a PT70 with a anti surge housing gtq wheel and a .68 exhuast housing. the exhuast housing is alse ceramic coated. the turbo was JUST rebult buy PT and has 5 drag passes on it.... total..

i bought it for 850 shipped.. now THATS a good deal:naughty:

yes its a hybrid bb turbo. havent sold any yet, i'll get you pricing by monday. polishing is available, but not done in house. they send it out for that and often adds a couple weeks to the delivery. last i checked it was ~$60 option. as far as the vband, atpturbo.com makes a lot nicer vband adapter than pte does. i would look there for that.

any way i can send in my gt4082 compressor housing and have it polished for that price? or does anyone know somewhere local in tampa that can do it? also, if i were to send my entire turbo in to be upgraded to a largr compresor wheel and polished housing, how much would that be? im thinking the same comp wheel as the gt4067. though i want to keep my chra so i can run the 0.68 hotside for sick spool. hehehe. i know it sounds crazy, but im sticking to pump gas so wont need the larger turbine for the monster boost on race gas. ill just have rally good numbers on pump that way. lol

well like i said pt doesnt do the polishing, they send it out to do that. dont remem the name of the shop but you might be able to deal w/ them direct. not sure of what they would charge someone "outside". $60 is what they charge us, that isnt marked up at all. i can find out some more info about the polishing for you and ck.

yes they can swap out the comp wheel in any turbo. you would need the comp cover machined out for the bigger wheel, a new backplate and clamp. only thing i would need is the numbers stamped onto the turbine housing to make sure it would all fit. it should be a number like TH6876A or something like that.

eric-

pte doesnt have a gt3540r listed in their price list, only gt3582r. im trying to find out specs for the gt3540. so many hybrids these days. perhaps IJ can pipe in since he has one.
retail for that one is $1655 unpolished and i could sell for $1450 polished. i'll have to double check the a/r choices for the hotside but i believe the only choices are .82 and 1.06. i would recommend the .82 that is w/ a v band discharge. however the v band adapters pte sells arent the greatest. the ones from atpturbo are much nicer.

iirc the part number is th6839a . also, my compressor cover is an antisurge so it cant be bored out that large. i would need a new cover with the compressor wheel. though i have thought about just selling this turbo and grabbing a standard gt4088. how much would that turbo run?

thanks IJ :)

i liked the old days of T61 p trim haha. nah not really. pretty much these days you can custom build to your own specs to get a turbo exactly the way you want. just gets confusing at times when trying to get it all sorted.

oh you have the gt cover, not s cover. you might be better off just picking up a new turbo and selling yours. would prob be cheaper in the long run. the cover, clamp, and backplate will be around $300 plus labor. thats not counting the comp wheel.

i assume you want the T4 turbine housing? you want the gt40 cover or the s cover?

just thought i would add-

is this cool to post prices and whatnot on here? im looking thru the forum rules but dont see where it says i can or cant. im just used to this being more of a lax environment vs sf.

if it is cool i could throw together a list of popular turbos, options and prices if it would be of some help. i just didnt expect such a big response on here :)

i want the gt cover if possible, thats why i asked about the gt4088 with a 0.68 turbine(the 0.68 turbine is sold by precision, thats who i got the part number from). im thinking of just selling mine and buying a larger one. though the gt4067 seems a lil pricey for a non bband also has a larger turbine then i want, and yes, i need a t4 flange turbine. so how much is the real gt4088? cheapest ive seen so far is like $850 + shipping but it comes wit hthe 0.94 or 1.05 turbine so the 0.68 would be bough separate. which i may have the turbine already, i told my folks i wanted it for xmas, so i guess i need prices with the 0.68 and wit hthe std turbine housing as well.
