Not to mention the second you lay down the $$$ someone will pop up with "I could have got that XX cheaper for you"

But buying a used turbo makes me nervous... I bought a CT26 60-1 that was used, and it lasted MAYBE 500 miles before it started blowing oil...
dbsupra90 said:yes its a hybrid bb turbo. havent sold any yet, i'll get you pricing by monday. polishing is available, but not done in house. they send it out for that and often adds a couple weeks to the delivery. last i checked it was ~$60 option. as far as the vband, atpturbo.com makes a lot nicer vband adapter than pte does. i would look there for that.

dbsupra90 thats a nice turbo.
some have asked about the gt42. i sell those for 970.
any other prices you guys would like just let me know. i have better deals on the gt turbos vs the pt turbos fwiw. i also have references if that would make anyone feel better.
take care

williamb82 said:any way i can send in my gt4082 compressor housing and have it polished for that price? or does anyone know somewhere local in tampa that can do it? also, if i were to send my entire turbo in to be upgraded to a largr compresor wheel and polished housing, how much would that be? im thinking the same comp wheel as the gt4067. though i want to keep my chra so i can run the 0.68 hotside for sick spool. hehehe. i know it sounds crazy, but im sticking to pump gas so wont need the larger turbine for the monster boost on race gas. ill just have rally good numbers on pump that way. lol

dbsupra90 said:well like i said pt doesnt do the polishing, they send it out to do that. dont remem the name of the shop but you might be able to deal w/ them direct. not sure of what they would charge someone "outside". $60 is what they charge us, that isnt marked up at all. i can find out some more info about the polishing for you and ck.
yes they can swap out the comp wheel in any turbo. you would need the comp cover machined out for the bigger wheel, a new backplate and clamp. only thing i would need is the numbers stamped onto the turbine housing to make sure it would all fit. it should be a number like TH6876A or something like that.
williamb82 said:iirc the part number is gt3968a. also, my compressor cover is an antisurge so it cant be bored out that large. i would need a new cover with the compressor wheel. though i have thought about just selling this turbo and grabbing a standard gt4088. how much would that turbo run?

is this cool to post prices and whatnot on here? im looking thru the forum rules but dont see where it says i can or cant. im just used to this being more of a lax environment vs sf.
if it is cool i could throw together a list of popular turbos, options and prices if it would be of some help. i just didnt expect such a big response on here
