Dont let your SS line touch your alternator post...it looks dangerously close...if that happens you wont have to worry about your rich condition anymore.

Not to mention the thing being mounted to the fender where it will get torn off in an accident.

Its not bolted down yet. I'm putting it in another location when this all gets figured out

Good look! Its not going to be mounted there. When its mounted the line is clear of the alternator. In the meantime I'll keep it clear. Dont need an explosion in my life right now

I'd mount it to the engine like all OEM installs. The fuel system is designed to survive a pretty bad front end accident that dislocates the engine from the mounts. The two hoses cross over to the body at the tunnel where they have the least chance of being torn.

I agree, the AFPR needs a different mounting location. But back to my problem, does anyone think an o2 sensor could cause my condition or is it something else?

the car ran fine up until these parts on.

...just saying.

Take the safc out of the equation and turn the fuel pressure down on the afpr. Clear the ecu's learned adjustments and take it for a drive.

This was going to be my next step after I replaced the o2 sensor. Will update tomorrow.

O2 sensor didn't fix it, neither did another coupler leak I just found and fixed, neither did the deceleration air flow correction being disabled, and finally disconnecting the SAFC altogether didn't work either. Its something deeper. Gonna pull off the sp61 and see how it runs on the stock turbo and accordion hose. After I put it on initially is when my idle problems started but that was due to my custom intake leaking. Leaks were all fixed but idle still wasnt perfect. Back to the drawing board...

i know the SAFC has deceleration air flow correction for hot-wire style mass air flow meters but from what i've found it doesn't work on Karman Vortex. is this true?

TCCS is written with deceleration fuel cut. SAFC should only be trimming the signal, and should not effect it. That assumes all is hooked up correctly.

Not to thread jack, but trying to learn as well. Isn't the SAFC needed when using the lexus housing and larger injectors? What about the AFPR? I ask because I am planning on doing this upgrade as well and want to avoid any issues as this is my daily driver.

Some say yes, some say no. I don't use a SAFC on my setup but someone will say its needed. You can play with the AFPR and the adjustment screw to keep the vF signal happy and get decent afr's in open loop. Mine idles at 15.1-15.4 and cruises at 14.7 then WOT is 11.1 and slowly goes to 10.7 before I shift IIRC.

In theory all you need are 550 cc injectors and the Lexus afm. In theory works just like stock
